But does God believe in atheists? I have to say that most of the atheists that I have met do believe in God because they often use His name in vain. If they were true atheists they would not do this, so they do know deep down that God exists. Just look how many when they face a death situation suddenly become Christians and pray!
Generally it is rebellion which causes someone to reject God. For some they decide they only believe in what they can physically see or prove, though how they stretch this to believe in evolution on the faith of someone's say so is nobodies guess, as they did not see such events take place and neither do they see evolution taking place today.
Mankind has great faith no matter what he or she believes in.  To believe in God is much easier then believing in the big bang. Naturally there are half way fence sitters who believe in God and evolution, though this always poses unanswered questions deep down in their hearts...
It is a question that everyone on this earth who has ever lived (Except Jesus Christ and Adam and Eve) has to ask. "Do I believe God exists and what do I do about it?"
Since God sent His Son, Jesus Christ here to earth the question now becomes "Do I accept Jesus Christ as Lord over my life?"

Questions etc about the pope's statement are pointless. Desipte wincams distain, Christianity clearly teaches that we are saved through faith in Jesus.
Atheists do not have faith in Jesus, so will not be in heaven.

that is not what Christianity teaches but is what most say it does  - that is neither the 'good news' nor the glad tidings of great joy - wincam

It used to be said that there were no atheists in the trenches.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

You keep posting this but never say what you think Christianity does teach.
So for a change spell it out in words of one silable.

Christianity clearly teaches the good news and glad tidings of great joy - perhaps you may at last , this Christmas , spell it out and tell us exactly what it is - so that if you misinterpret it or misunderstand it you can be corrected and saved - twinc
