not sure -I suppose we must test the spirits  1 John 4:1

I suppose there are times when we cannot evaluate experience  against scripture- as indeed much  scripture came from spiritual experience, as with the book of revelation.

imho most Christians are on an ego trip to hell claiming inspiration, guidance and indwelling by the Holy Spirit and not accepting that they are fragmented, fallible and fallen and producing fruits that are an unforgiveable blasphemy against the Holy Spirit - knowing not nor willing to accept that like the Pharisees of old they do err not knowing the scriptures[Mk.12:24] - I have discovered that most errors and mistakes occur because we apply to ourselves what does not apply to us e.g.Jn 14:17 - according to Hebrews now is the time of the Church where to hear His voice - the Holy Spirit has impeccably done what He was consigned to do and we have the scriptures that they did not have etc - twinc

One of the marks of God working in a community is the way lives, not just Christians but non christian lives are changed.
The after effects of the revival of 1904 in Wales were considered by Vyrynwy Morgan in the final chapter of his book gives the figures for convictions for drunkenness in the county of Glamorgan for the years 1902 to 1907, supplied by the police. There is a near 50% reduction after the revival.

Just what affect have the varrious revivals following tronto actually had?

Hello @wincam,

The only 'strange fire' I know of, is that spoken of in Scripture, in Lev.10:1; Num. 3:4 and Num. 26:61 (KJV).  In the new versions it is called, 'unauthorized fire'.  That is exactly what I believe anything using this name, outside of the framework of the Scripture in which it is found is: 'unauthorized' by God - and therefore suspect.

... 'That we henceforth be no more children,
tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love,
may grow up into Him in all things,
which is the Head, even Christ: ... ... '

(Eph 4:14-15)

In Christ Jesus
