'Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught,
that he may be able by sound doctrine
both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.'

(Tit 1:9)

'Holding forth the word of life;
that I may rejoice in the day of Christ,
 that I have not run in vain,
neither laboured in vain.'

(Php 2:16)

I was approached by a gentleman last night as I waited by the roadside for my husband to arrive with the car to pick me up from a busy street in Cardiff, following a meal in a restaurant with our grandson.  The man told me that he was a born again believer, and would like to give me a tract.  When I told him that I too was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, he went to put the tract back in his coat, but I asked if I could have it anyway, a brief conversation about how we had come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as our saviour followed, before the car arrived and I had to go.  However, I got the impression that he was equally as blessed to have had this encounter as I had been.

I praised God for the gift that encounter proved to be, to me.  The tract was called, 'Is Life Worth Living', from the 'Open Air Mission'. The verses (above) headed the home page of the mission website.

* May God be praised, for men like him, who use every opportunity to give the Word of God to others.
