PM announces plans to overhaul organ donation law

Hello there,

As you will be aware this is already being implemented in Wales, and as I live in Wales myself, I have had to fill in a form to state my will in regard to this.  I would be interested to know what other members feel about organ donation.

When I'm dead I will have no further need or use of any of my organs, so if someone wants them they are available.

If it was simply about saving someone's life after I die, I would not have an issue with it, but there is far more to it then that. I rather fear it is about money as the trading of body parts round the world is quite a business these days.
When I refuse to comply so I had to phone to opt out, the phone call was on a peak rate, and my mum first rang only to find after long queues where one was being charged through waiting only to find the lady who answered was trained to prolong the conversation as long as possible. After around 15-20 minutes of this my mum put the phone down on her (We were being charged at peak rate as a source of income for the Welsh Assembly!), we both wrote in (I may have emailed and written) and we did get an acknowledgment. Those with no internet access have no way to do this as they have no address to write to. If it wasn't done for profiteering my decision may have been different. One has to ask what ones rates and taxes go when the Welsh Assembly have to stoop to such unethical profeteering which in no way can I be party to by being a donor.

Recycling does much to profiteer from the backs of the rate payers which already pay for their rubbish to be disposed of, yet we hear that local councils sometimes have stockpiles of paper if the paper prices go lower then a certain price. The strictness of sorting between recycling and non recycling materials  (Even non recyclable materials are recycled) has to do with the fact that if too many contaminants go into certain recycled materials then the buying companies can reject the product and refuse to pay. It has nothing to do with saving the earth as if it did we would all be living very differently to how we do now and this consumer society we live in would die overnight in an effort to save our planet.
