I am not getting much in the way of discussion about my posts and so I will post my biggest difficulty with the Bible.
I know that nearly all Christians believe that our sins are forgiven because of the Crucifixion, but I don't.
If the one true God had said the wages of sin is death, it would have been an absurd statement because God in His infinite wisdom would have known that having given us free will, that we would all be sinners, and that He would have to kill all of us,bodily or spiritually (or both.)
We now have a situation where almighty God has painted himself into a corner and has to come up with the plan to have part of the Godhead (Jesus). come to earth in human form. Then Jesus like the scapegoat would have all the sins of the world past, present and future heaped upon his head and then by allowing Jesus to be cruelly murdered, the wrath of God would be satisfied.
God is almighty and if He says that your sins are forgiven, that is an end of the matter.
God never sins and therefore could not have been involved in the killing of our Lord Jesus.
I do believe that the murder of Jesus was the worst crime ever committed but it has nothing to do with the forgiveness of sin.
This has caused me many sleepless nights over the years but I have never found any reason to change this belief.
Soon I will explain my reasons for all of my recent comments.God bless.Love ,Kenneth.

Hi Kenneth
Maybe the reason you don't get much discussion is because you don't discuss much you only ask questions but give no answer discussion is a two way street.

You are right God dose not sin but he has allowed sin to enter the world through satan and so he takes responsibility for it and its removal and this was through the blood of Christ.

I did mention in another post that we look at the book of Job I wae thinking of these verses.

Job 1:8  And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Job 1:9  Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
Job 1:10  Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Job 1:11  But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 1:12  And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

What satan is saying is Job only loves God because God gives him everything and protects him which of course is a false kind of  love.
What God says and wants is that we Love him and each other in spite of every adversity or how our lord puts it.

Luk 6:31  And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
Luk 6:32  For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
Luk 6:33  And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
Luk 6:34  And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
Luk 6:35  But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Luk 6:36  Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Or to put it another way sin or evil is in the world to test our love is it genuine will we still love god and our fellow man in spite of all the evil in the world.

the whole object of Israel and the law was to show the world that laws and regulations don't work bit like the world to day we have more laws and regulation than we know what to do with but they are useless if people keep breaking them.

But Gods laws of Love will work if every one Loves everyone else the we wont need any laws will we.

Love and Peace

Kenneth,
God's judgement of man is not murder. God has the right and the authority to set the rules and to punish those who break the rules.
God is perfectly just in condeming all of us, but in his mercy he offers us a way to avoid judgement.
God himself in the person of Jesus, God the Son, took our place willingly. He took our punishment and gives us the right to become children of God.
