Hi @John,

Im not arguing, just saying things that i have trouble understanding.  As for the 10 commandments, the bible, God, i'm a non believer and therefore most of those points are completely lost on me.  As for the lustful example, isn't that just human nature, it's not acting on it, or correcting it, that proves a persons worth to me, not the fighting against an instinctive, subconscious reaction.  I'm actually in agreement with the most of the commandments, but not all.  To me its outrageous you can be convicted for what you think, but that's just me.  I'm not bleating on about how right i am, of course, i could be wrong, i have no problem admitting that.

So why am i here?  I'm now actually asking myself that.

It's just

Good morning @Tes Johnson ,

Apologies for boring you lol, and for using that broad brush, again, but MG, used a fairly broad brushstroke too, so i thought i was keeping in context .

I get mixed messages re Christianity, and just wondered, why it's so difficult if it's so good, and if it's difficult, why do it, what are the benefits?  It sounds to me like, in some respects, Christianity is a cop out, i.e, the fact that your sins are forgiven, just taken away, no responsibility, sounds a bit too easy.  I don't even think it's that great in building confidence either, since a Christian would credit any good they did to God.   I think people can be rude, ignorant, wicked, nasty, and equally helpful, generous, and kind, regardless of what they believe.

I have some knowledge about the bible, and some, fairly enlightening encounters with apparent Christians, and perhaps the hypocrisy i've encountered there, goes some way to explaining why i'm so doubtful.

Different folks, different strokes (back to brushes again lol).

You once said to me you thought it was people i had a problem with, and at the time i agreed, but, i think 'certain people' might have been more accurate.  There are people i love dearly and others i tolerate, an equal mix of Christians and non christians in both categories.  So i don't see the difference your beliefs make to anyone but yourself.  So if you're happy with what you believe, fabulous, as long as you're happy.

Still confused and ever so slightly miffed lol

ahh - sokay,  I like painting    :D

I still believe you are looking at people rather than God - and people will never live up to your expectations...

I was also trying to tell you about the spiritual side of life and how this can affect a big way

You see your reactons are not just controlled by you  and the way you have responded is exactly what the enemy is looking for.

he will tell you these lies and trick you to believe a lie.

Anyway look at me as I make a total mess in communicating - online

Well done Tes

You know I would really love you to re register and come back on and show that you defy the enemy by doing this.

Could you do that ?

anyway whatever come back .

By doing this you will be denying the enemy and coming to God !
