No I am saying that there is no need of a prophet like Elijah to lead people to God or to teach them about God.

That God still speaks to us through the bible and also by his peole is not in dispute,  provided they are saying what God has already said.

There are No new prophetic messages. Only a repettition of what is found in the bible.

Yes bringing people into our lifes as metaphors

The common video for this are These are the Days of Elijah

It also brings Moses, Ezekiel, David, into play and relevance now. [as a Day or Days in our lives]

What!!!!
Where did you get this theology John, from the Koran?

You've got to be joking John!!!!

John, you have just issued an edict that declares God is not allowed to speak to his people ever again. That declaration is backed by the nonsense that the written scriptures contain everything God might want to say.
Plain nonsense John, with zero biblical support.

You might be deaf to the voice of God today, but please don't put that deafness on me or others.

I have heard God speak on countless occasions, and it isn't just repeats of the bible. Had I not heard the voice of God, I would be dead!
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

Francis,
Are you saying that you have the Revelations of God to Francis?
Are we to add that revelation to the bible?
As I said, that God speaks to his people is not in dispute. What is in dispute is what ever God says to you is applicable to me or to Gods people.

Francis,

Of course I am John. If I didn't believe in that, what's the point of praying for revelation!

Not for one moment has that been claimed by me or anyone else here.

There's no dispute as scripture clearly promises it.
God has on countless times given to me prophetic words, words of knowledge, visions, dreams etc. for other members of the Body of Christ, and vice versa, as the Spirit directs. It is pride and arrogance to oppose such things.
My life has been guided by such words for the last 40 years. I pity the believer who prefers walking outside of these promises.

You might believe that God is struck dumb by your edicts, but that doesn't make it true. As Jesus said, it just renders you personally deaf. The gifts of the Spirit are still active today, even if your church and theology denies them.

Francis,
I have never said that God is dumb, just that scripture is used to judge any and all prophetics messages or words of knowledge.

No but your comments keep making out that God has been struck dumb since your bible was completed.

Hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit starts with repenting of the false notion that God is silent, abandoning your unbelief in that area, and halting your vendetta against it.

Ever since I joined the forum several years ago, you have maintained a tirade against anyone who listens to that voice. You seem terrified that such people are heretics who might pervert the body!
