Hi John
Thanks for your reply I agree what verse Isa 1:17 says is what God wants not only from the Jews but from us as well and I think it all boils down to this.

Mar 12:29  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Mar 12:30  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mar 12:31  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Its all about Love is it not it is Love that holds everything together love is the cement that holds the body of Christ together without love everything would fall apart so let us love from the heart that's where God searches.

Love and Peace

Hi
Some time since we visited this thread thought we mite take a another look.

Mat 5:17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

what do you think our Lord means by to fulfil the law when we read the law given to Israel should we replace Israel with Christ is the law everything Christ would do when he came to earth our example

Mat 5:18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

It seams from this verse that the fulfilment of the law will last to the end of the ages how should we view this in the light of being saved by grace

Mat 5:19  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

is the first part of this verse a reference to us believers who do our best to pass on the word of God but sometimes get it wrong but still we will enter the Kingdom.
Is the last part of the verse a reference to Christ him self it was only him that complied with the whole law and only him who will be great in the Kingdom

Love and Peace
