Hi
Bean having this thought about the Law is the law the tree of life when Israel came out of Egypt god gave them the law and if they obeyed it 100% they would live so it became the tree of life.
The tree of knowledge would be the other nations or the world if you like jest having a muse-

Dave,
What did Jesus mean then when he said   ?No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: ?They will all be taught by God.? Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. in John 6 v 44+45.

Why does the bible depict the nonchristian as 'enemies of God.Romans 5 v10.

In your experience of people how would you describe the nonchristian?

Hi John
I think our Lord answered this question when he said.

Mat 12:30  He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

A nonchristian is someone who dose not believe in Jesus Christ and all he has done for us not sure if this includes all those who have not heard of Jesus.

Not to sure what these questions have to do with the topic of the thread but if you think they are important please continue.

Love and peace
Dave

You said Dave,
"If God made or forced us to love him it would not be love it would only be God creating robots love has to be a free will gift from the heart."

As the verse show the non christian is an enemy of God, who God has to change the heart of so that they do love him.

Hi John
Thank's for clarifying that, How dose the Father draw us to him by showing us how much he loves us by sending his son to die for us in the same way he wants us to love him and the love he wants is of our own free will nothing else will do and this is the reason we have free will.

Dave,
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them"
God is active in bringing God haters into submission to him. The word draw can also be understood to mean 'drag'.
God drags those who hate him into a relationship with him.

Dave,
you wrote "nobody not even God can make us love them "
If that is true then God is not God and nobody has been or ever will be saved.

Here we go again John, you are speaking just like that Calvinist you keep denying.

On this point Dave is right.

If God totally controlled whether a man came to him and free will or not, can force any man love him, then God did a really crap job with Adam.

If Adam didn't have freewill, then Adam was not responsible for sinning.

"God made me do it, and he never should have put that stupid tree there if it was so important!"

Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

So how does God drag nonchristians to him?
