KINGDOM OF GOD NOT KINGDOM OF MAN!

We should focus more on the Kingdom of God, than on our own Kingdom, our life is about Jesus not us.

Sounds full on maybe, however remember, you have been BOUGHT at a price. Glorify Him with your body and spirit. Jesus became the Servant King, He came to serve not to be served, to show you the way. YOU too being born again into God's Kingdom are servant's of our Lord Jesus Christ first and foremost ... then all the other things shall be added unto you.

You are followers of the Way ... Ambassadors for Christ. We all have a purpose, use your life to serve your God given purpose.

We have to move away from being selfish. The world markets selfishness, and everyday we are influenced by that. Yet we are more easily influenced by the world and less of God, and we need to ask ourselves why. We are to feed God's sheep, they are starving, not just be content with being fed ourselves, effectively being selfish.

Be selfless with your approach to the unsaved, like the selfless nature of Christ. In a selfish society, if you approach it with selflessness it has a bigger impact.

Now to address the root of this problem ... the end times spirit of self ...

I can almost see and feel people flinching at this, discounting this, oh it's another demonic thing blah blah, but actually ... yes it is.

Get real with your faith, what you are living in, and what forces work to bring you down and away from God, and keep as many people as possible away from God.

Ephesians 6

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So yes, the demonic end times spirit of self. Selfishness.

The world was created by God in a perfected way.  Satan, he brought imperfection into the world, he introduced selfishness, this was his personality, with Eve. He created an atmosphere of selfishness, after which selfishness was embedded in man. The more carnal you are, the more selfish you become.

So in a world which is so overcome with selfishness and so driven by selfishness, how do you break that spirit from around you? here are some steps to aid in that ...

1) You have to repent!

Yes that mucky word we sometimes do not like or has us groaning. We need to repent of our own selfishness, get real with yourself and God. You recognise or know a selfish area of your life, repent of it (which is turning from that) and remember ... YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN, YOU WERE BOUGHT AT A HUGE PRICE! again glorify Him with your body and spirit, anything that does not allow this, is at root ... self.  Reject it, repent of it and move on from it. This is taking up your cross daily.

2) You HAVE to become Kingdom focussed!

We are to be Kingdom of God focussed men and women of God, not Kingdom of man focussed. What we say and what we do, is it for our Kingdom or God's? Everyone has skills and abilities, use them for God's Kingdom advancement, making evangelism a part of your daily life.

3) Esteem others more than yourself!

As you lose your life you gain it. Look the end time spirit of self in the face and tell it, it has no place in your lives! When people put others first, it changes the whole atmosphere and attitudes of people in the vicinity of that.  Atmosphere is key to many things of God.  People tend to do what others do around them, and eventually it will rub off on others. Be the change you want to see. Be the lights on a hill. Be the hand of God to others. Do unto others as you would have done to yourself!

Brothers and sisters there really is power, real power in laying it all down before our LORD. Selflessness has so much power and works and leads to miracles, in others lives and in turn your own.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit and my Pastor at church today. This message is confirming a lot of what has been given in revelation of late and added into it. So those with ears hear what is being spoken, because it is time to wake on up and get real with your faith and lives, time is of the essence.

Walk and live your life as a spirit led child of God, in a selfless way, looking the end times spirit of self in the face telling it ... it has no place in your lives!

Be blessed and be a blessing always!

Hi Serenity,

When you say, -  'By Satan he brought imperfection into the world, he introduced selfishness.' - it sounds as though you are saying that God introduced sin, using Satan to do so.  Is this what you mean to imply?

I have probably misinterpreted your words, Serenity, please put me right. :)

Thank you
In Christ Jesus

No I saying Satan did that, I will amend post to have it read more plainer, I did wonder about that when I initially wrote it out, so glad you brought that up.  I will amend to have it more plain, thanks for raising that.

Amen Serenity - we HAVE to move away from being self-ish (hyphenated on purpose).
The biggest revelation to me as a Christian was when I realised I couldn't live the Christian life by my own efforts.

When Adam was in the garden he was made aware of two trees in particular. The tree of THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL and the tree of LIFE.
The KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL tree is what we're eating from if we determine to do evil - AND ALSO if we determine to do good (by our own efforts).

Many times I have heard a church pastor exhort the congregation to behave in a Christian way in order to further their spiritual life. But if I think I can live my spiritual life by trying hard to behave properly - whether it's by thinking right thoughts, getting up early to read the Bible, helping other people, praying, etc - if it is by MY OWN EFFORTS then it is of the tree of "knowledge of good and evil". You see, if I can gain acceptance from God by my good behaviour, then I don't need God. I can do it on my own.

As a new Christian I wanted to experience the power of the Holy Spirit and when I asked one of the church deacons, he explained that God would never pour His Holy Spirit into a dirty cup. Therefore, I must search my heart and sort it all out so I was clean enough to hold the Spirit.

I laboured for a long time under that burden. It was not until some time later that I realised that the very reason Jesus died was because I could not possibly sort my own life out. Even if I did manage to be perfect by my own efforts, it would be FROM THE WRONG TREE. Jesus died so we could have the right to eat of the tree of LIFE. Not by my efforts - I can't do it.

Not only that, but God himself doesn't require a 'cleaning of the cup' in order to have more of Him. In Luke 11:13 Jesus says, "...how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to THOSE WHO ASK." No other requirement. Just ask. Silly me - I asked the deacon and I should have asked God!!

And here's something funny - for ages my fingers disobeyed me whenever I wrote about QUIET times (darn, they even tried to do it then, but I corrected it). Yep - I just can't stop my fingers typing QUIT  times. But how appropriate that is! Coming before God and - instead of the generally-accepted kind of 'quiet time' - saying, "I quit". I quit trying to get it all right, I quit trying to sort out my life, or my family's, I quit trying to work out where I lost my keys, I quit trying to control the outcome of this or that situation. I quit. You do it Lord. Help me live out of the tree of LIFE. It's done. It's sorted. Jesus did it. His mercies are new every morning - blank slate.

This is walking in a state of peace. Whatever happens, I am at peace (relaxed, not trying to work it all out). That doesn't mean my first reaction is peace. Many times it isn't. But I know how to get there.

Recently I heard a sermon on the Significance of the Insignificant!
It was about hoe God uses those who are disregarded by the world.  How did the gospel spread across the roman world, not just because Paul preached, but mainly because ordinary believers lived for Jesus and gosipped the gospal. People saw the change in there lives, the practical ways they cared for others and they wanted to know more.

How was it possible that ordinary, insignificant people could be so significant to Gods purpose to save people?

We learn about God through reading his word, through sermons and through bible study.
We dedicate ourselves to his service and even though we fail in countless ways God uses our efforts for him.

There is no super spiritual way, no enpowerment from on high, just everyday faithfull living for him.
