Diversity, weren't they a pop group?

I think all Christians should think for themselves and be true to what the bible teaches.

That covers amultiple of views.

There certainly is 'amultiple' of views, I think that is where division comes in. I can understand and even respect differing views to some extent, but when Christians argue, get nasty with one another, that I do not like. Christians surely can agree to disagree on subjects and maybe even learn from one another? There is always hope :D

Thinking on this further, when we have our beliefs challenged, it can be scary for some and fearful and out of such comes behaviour that lashes out, wanting to cling to old belief systems. God sometimes shakes us.

Hi
I thought I'd start with a few questions.

What is the lake of fire.
What is hell.
Where do we go when we die.

The Lake of Fire etc. does not exist; it is a frightener used by those "Hell & Damnation" preachers who have nothing better to do than to shout down the congregation with the crap he likes to spew out of his mouth

Hello there, :)

The lake of fire will exist, for God says what He means and means what He says. Is is not for us to deny it, or to spiritualise it away. God has said it, I believe it, praise His Holy Name.

Romans chapter two tells us that Christ Himself who knows the secrets of men's hearts will make righteous judgements on that day when he will judge.  He will take into account what a man would have believed had he heard the gospel of salvation, and deal fairly and in righteousness with all men. Every facet of possible consideration in defence of mankind will be made, and there will be those who will receive life, whom we in our ignorance of God's justice would condemn.  We must leave it with Him.  Trust Him, and continue in the faith which we have received by God's grace, in Christ Jesus.

All praise to Him, for His mercy and His grace.

Hi Cariad
Thank's for your post and I agree there will be a lake of fire the bible is very clear on that point I jest don't think it's a literal fire because God is a consuming fire Gods fire is his Love for his creation.

Not sure I can agree with this yes he is a Righteous judge but he will judge by what's in our hearts by how much we Love him and Love is a free will choice on our part and to make a choice we have to know what the alternatives are so everyone needs to hear the gospel.
I think maybe that's why evil was allowed into the world so that we could be able to choose Love, Love comes at a  terrible price that's why God paid the price himself when he sent his son to die on the cross.

Love and Peace

What do I think?  I think we all need to be aware that Revelation 19:20 says this, "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.  These both were case alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone."  Also, Revelation 20:12-15, "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:  and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.  And WHOSOEVER (this included all of us!), was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."  How can hell give up it's dead, if no one who is dead is there?

No matter how much we wish this not to be true, it is.  You cannot ignore the written Word of God, nor twist and turn it to make it something you want it to be. (Not saying anyone here is doing that, just in general. :)) It is very clear, hell is a real place of eternal punishment.  14:11 even says the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever.

But...Good news from a far country!!!! Jesus Christ is our Savior, and is waiting with outstretched arms to save all who will come to Him, and give their heart and life totally to Him.  I sold out to the Lord many years ago, and I have never, ever regretted it!  Only what we do for Christ will last!  Praise the Lord He saved me from that awful place!  Put my feed on a solid rock!  :)
