Does the Bible contain the full truth? Is it possible that parts of the Bible are flawed? Maybe parts of the revalations are inaccurate? They may simply be wrong on certain matters? What Jesus said was the complete truth, but is everything else.

I do believe that the Bible is true - but it has to be interpreted correctly.

The book of Revelation is a case in point. It is 'apocalyptic' literature, which means that everything is explained in terms of symbols and virtually nothing should be taken 'literally'!

So the 144,000 is a symbolic number, referring to all God's people.

Revelation is also stuffed full of allusions to the Old Testament. If God takes a census (in chapter 7) we are meant to think immediately of the census taken of the Israelites at Sinai. There were around 600,000 of them - and 40 years later, on the bank of the River Jordan, there were still 600,000 (although they were a new generation, and only 2 individuals - Caleb and Joshua - were counted both times). God had preserved His people through the whole period of their wandering in the wilderness.
In the same way, 144,000 (symbolically) are counted in chapter 7 on earth, and 144,000 reach heaven in chapter 14. The message is that the Church will not perish, despite persecution.

The general rule used when reading/listening/viewing anything is to assume you are recieving the truth, unless you know inadvance it is fiction or poetic discription etc etc.
It is always up to the accuser to provide the evidence that what is being examined it inaccurate.

The record of the bible for accuracy is impressive while the record of those who have claimed it is false is dismal when there consitent failures are viewed.
May I suggest you buy 'Nothing but the Truth' from Dayone publicatiuons, which will give you thourgh growning in the accuracy of the bible or check out coldcasechristianity for a dectectives view on the trustworthyness of the bible.

Paul wrote, " All scripture is God breathed and is usefull for teaching, rebuking etc, so that the man of God may be fully equiped for every good work prepared for him"

Can you prove that Jesus ever existed? I'm sure you can't, a case that would stand up in court. I know through faith he walked the land and exists today but it's impossible to prove. A book isn't proof. I can write anything but it's not necessarily the truth. Can you validate the authors and transliteration of the original text. You can't, nobody can.The full truth is found by faith and the holy spirit. The Jews even removed YHWH's name to keep it secret, there are flaws that exist.

Hi
To deny the truth of the bible is to deny God the creator If God who created the universe and everything in it, if he wanted to give us his word in book form inspired by the holy spirit then it would be 100% accurate he would not allow men to tamper with it.
Did Jesus exist of course he and there is plenty of proof jest do a bit of googling and you will find plenty of evidence the only thing in question is did Jesus rise from the dead I believe he did and we have eye witness accounts in the bible which tell us so all you have to do is believe.

People are missing the point. Google, a professor in America, scholars, sea scrolls from unknown authors, letters from people with no authenticity are not reliable proof. There is no proof. The collection of books that form the Bible have been transliterated that many times by many generations.  Mistakes have occurred. The proof is real, faith and living with the lord is proof. There are so many unfortunate people who rely upon repetitive scripture and dogma to prove their faith rather than living it and feeling it. I hope that the spirit is received by those who choose otherwise to be concerned with being God rather than live with God in them. Reciting scripture rote style is not living with the spirit and maybe the ability to connect with the lord is a gift I take for granted. I will pray for you.

It depends what standard of proof you demand. In real life, 100% certainty is never achievable - not for anything. In a criminal court, a case only has to be proved 'beyond reasonable doubt'. In a civil court just 'a balance of probability' is sufficient. So I disagree with you... a case can be made in favour of Jesus' existence that would stand up in court.

Hi David
I'd like to ask can you prove the bible is not true as far as I know nobody has come up with any evidence to prove its false and lies I don't see why we have to prove its true to me it's self evident so bring on your proof.

Love and Peace
