If evolution was true, then we would regularly be seeing evidence of it occurring present day. The fact is that any mutation we do see, such as animals with six legs, is always negative and leaves the animal with disabilities rather than benefits.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

we could not evolve and have not and darwin is wrong @John

Yesterday someone was saying the coccyx at the end of our spine, shows the remains of what was once a tail and that humans were monkeys!
In weighing that up, I looked at any evidence and that wasn't the first time that was presented but it  reminded me.
There is a claim that there are skeletons showing humans as half monkey and half human.
It seems possible though that there were other apes then, that are now extinct.

If evolution that way was true:

Why then do we not see cross breeds of other animals ?
It does not disprove God.

Another consideration:
The human embryo has a tail and the coccyx supports the ligaments, muscles and bone attachments, and may serve a purpose for the development of unborn babies. The coccyx  doesn't prove that humans were born with a tail, in the past. More likely that the coccyx is the remains of our embryo tail, when we were developing in the womb.
It doesn't prove the human being is evolving to progress.
As it was said prehistoric people developed a lot and showed skills, great talent and intelligence.
Nowadays I personally do not think the human brain has evolved to be better at all. Somethings can be pointed out to be better because in the "course of time they are trailed and tested out" in much the same way as improving cake making. If at first you don't suceed try and try again, sort of thing. Consequently there are aspects of attitudes that have changed for the better and certain things have improved,  such as including women in education and voting, more disability awareness and support , a reduction in stigmatising mental illness. As examples but somethings as well have very much got worse such as people becoming godless, taking political correctness into their own hands and naming and shaming people but not having the humility to own up about their own faults. I am in this addressing some even non serious things I've seen. Other examples are misrepresenting christianity.Presenting views as extremism. Turning and presenting unintentional well meaning comments, views etc into something more extreme and into a dangerous view or terrible attitude. When it wasn't at all the case.
Other examples are the red tape in the political side of social care preventing people from having a natural life. I could say more and more.
Taking the innocent element out of society for more vulgar things and there is more sexual crimes, perversion, marriage and family breakdown, more violence and crime.
Children not having a natural life of playing out on the fields and having country walks through fear of intruders. Children not engaging socially with their family because of the internet. Young mothers on their mobile phones and giving a mobile phone to their toddler but not talking together.
I've seen this and it is not evidence that there is evolution in the way Darwin presented. Not evidence that behaviour and attitudes are progressing.

Hi all,

It?s been proven beyond doubt, and continues to be proven, that Darwin got it spot on.  It is now accepted by most theologians, to the point where, it is no longer debated.  The sheer volume of evidence found over the years, has continued to prove that it?s true.  The human body @Indonesia is living proof of evolution, far from being perfectly ?designed ?, its full of flaws, all traceable back to earlier evolutionary changes.  Unless you manage to live for hundreds of thousands of years, you?re not going to see evolutionary changes, it?s a gradual thing, over many many generations, you won?t suddenly wake up one day and have three legs.

Honestly folks, i?m gob smacked at the naivety, the lack of understanding, the unwillingness to accept plain and simple facts.  You might not like it, but it is true.

There are obviously some types of evolution but I do not believe it has been proved without a doubt Darwins theory of evolution. Scientists will agree and others will disagree.
Even if it was true which I doubt, it does not disprove God.
Many scientists present science to prove God existance. Others use science to attempt to disprove God's existance. While many are impartial.
God's very existance is obvious.
Jesus and His words life and significance is obvious and so is the bible.

All the reading in the world cannot replace the teachings and counsel of the Holy Spirit. Where no one will know things of God otherwise and I am  talking generally about those who listen to Him.

Hi
That the earth is millions of years old would seam to be true on the evidence we have at the present time.
The big question is did all life forms that we know of create them selves over millions of years in which case there is no God because God tells us he created everything which means if evolution is true the God has lied which of course is unthinkable.
The only logical explanation for me is God has created all life forms as we know them over long periods of time and now he is creating the final part of his creation mankind in his image with Jesus Christ as the head.
Here you can see evolution at work mankind being changed into the image of God.
So where does the six days of creation come in they start with Noah what the flood was I don't know but what we go know is God turned the clock back to chaos and began a new creation this time it was only the creation of man in his image  and this creation is based on Genesis 1&2 if we read it as the history of mankind over the last 6000 years it works out quite well for example day four God created the sun Christ came into the world the light of the world the moon was created the church the reflected light of the sun the stars where created the children of God.
It all boils down to what man in the image of God looks like and the only one in scripture who is said to be the express image of his person is Jesus Christ our Lord.

Love and Peace
Dave

This isn't logical. Why could God not have created animal life by means of evolution?
