Hi
Well that seams to have come to a grinding halt which is a shame because it evolution is a fact by that I mean that all life forms as we know the created them selves out of dead matter by pure chance.
The chances of this happening is mathematically impossible according to many professional academics.

https://www.scribd.com/document/448517/Evolution-What-Are-the-Odds

https://answersingenesis.org/evidence-against-evolution/probability/evolution-no-chance-billion-years/

https://www.wnd.com/2017/06/the-odds-of-evolution-are-zero/

Just few random sites which says evolution is impossible of course there are many more about both sides of the argument so it seams to me that evolution is a belief system full of impossible steps.

Dave

Hi
So let's ask that age old question what came first the chicken or the egg to have an egg you have to have a chicken but to have chicken you have an egg.
Not only so but evolution managed to create to sexes by pure chance so that the eggs could be fertilized and this applies to most living creatures so I say there has to be a guiding hand in all this it cannot happen by chance that is illogical.

Love and Peace

This is posted on behalf of a reader who wrote:

Both
I believe in both creation and evolution.
There is overwhelming evidence of both!
The bible speaks the truth and is accurate and God inspired.
It now instead needs to be viewed that the bible can be interpreted differently. That is by looking at the six days, through six very prolonged phases of thousands, or even millions of years.
Look at how many references of the bible of a day and how a day can be a period of time. Not necessarily 24 hours.
We get to hear modern viewpoints nowadays, that the God of the bible is no longer plausible, for what is known today.
I disagree with that. The bible has a lot of symbolic and metaphoric language that taught the  people of the past, with their more simplistic outlook. Nowadays the pictural language  cannot be applied so much to modern life because of the different use of words, expressions and a different culture. Modern people now  look for more complicated answers.
That does not discount the bible at all. For it just needs to be explained in a more sophisticated way, although the same principals and teachings are the same.
As humans are now more sophisticated and need to learn  through their cultural lenses and without changing the bible and without changing scripture.
Modern human beings may now have an advanced understanding. The former human beings however understood the essential things of life, if they had faith in God. Nowadays they lose those vital things, if they do not have belief in God. As the current trend is showing that people are losing their faith in God.
In a way the former humans knew more in reaching those conclusions and in having their faith. Much like the babys, children and those with simple minds who have seen things and understood things that the adults fail to see, because they bypass them through their lack of simplicity.
When all is said and done the world changes BUT God and His truth stays the same. In a changing world,  the Holy Spirit can show you how the bible fits the world and how creation must have occured.

Life cannot have derived and exploded from dead matter. That matter must have been alive and you might as well say in the end, that the matter was God.
It is impossible to say God does not exist, when you think of the origins of life.
Then you say who made God. That still does not get round it, because who made the dead matter. Then again you realise the matter was alive and  might as well say it was God .

Welcome London Bell,
The bible is understood by how it is written and by how the bible comments oin its self.
That is when it is written in prose, or poetic form, or in appoletic form it has to be understood acoring to the rules of grammer that apply to thoise forms.

Genesis is not written in a poetic or apocolitic style, but as historical prose. Words like day are used in genesis in the same way as they are used else were to indicate a period of 24hours.
The bible comments on genesis as a historical account.

Therefore there is only one way, if one is going to be consitent to understand genesis and that is that what it says ACTUALLY HAPPENED.

Hi London Bell
Welcome to the forum and the discussion I can agree with your post it makes some very good points when Christians say the earth is only 6000 years old and everything was zapped together in 6 days makes us look silly.
But there is nothing wrong in believing what God has told us in his word basically it is true beyond all doubt  God is  the creator of everything we see and even things we don't see how long it took no one
Knows but God.

Hi John

I can agree with you on this But I would say " is actually Happening" as you Know I believe creation is still ongoing we are still waiting for the man in Gods Image to appear which is Christ Jesus our Lord att his second coming.

Love and Peace
Dave

"The day of the Lord "is a series of events that suggest should all occur for more than 24 hours.

Hi London Bell
I believe Christ's millennial reign is the day of the lord a day being 1000 years its also the fathers sabbath rest when he hands everything over to Christ to finish the creation.

Love and Peace
Dave
