Dave,
As I have challenged you before and do so again.

Why do you not believe what scripture says?

Genesis is very clear, God created everything in 6 days.

God man man in his image staring with Adam, Noah a disendant of Adam, as are you and I was also in Gods image.
The new creation is of people  who have become Christian and have a new spiritual nature.

Hi John
Thank you for your questions I do believe everything the scriptures say I believe God will have created mankind in his image in 6 days 1000 years long starting with Noah and everything he has done is based on the creation account we have in Genesis.
I also believe Israel is the first Adam and Christ is the last Adam which I have proved from scripture.
I have said many times  that the only one in scripture who is said to be the express image of the father is Jesus Christ and this is at his second coming when he is united with his bride and becomes one as stated in Genesis.
Me and you are not in the image of God God is the head of the heavenly host which is his body the woman In Genesis it says.

Gen 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.       Gen 2:24  Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

So you see God is Male and female and they are one What dose one flesh mean the image of God is a man and woman joined together and this cannot be a normal marriage otherwise a single man could not be in the image of God.

Love and Peace
Dave

Dave,
"I do believe everything the scriptures say I believe God will have created mankind in his image in 6 days 1000 years long starting with Noah and everything he has done is based on the creation account we have in Genesis. "
except that is not what the scriptures say, so you only believe your own fantastic invention of what you think they say.

The first Adam was created by God in the garden of eden. Isreal may represent Adam, but is not the first Adam.

God being male+femail. As God is Spirit he does not have a body and he has revealed to his prophets that he is male. It is why he is address with masculine pronouns and is called God the Father.

We are made in his image because like God we are Spiritual beings, who are also rational and moral.

If the earth is not millions of years old you will need to prove it with facts
why can't God take millions of years to create everything.

Again the bible say God created in 6 days, the standard used when an author numbers days and uses pharases like evening and morning, day and night etc is to believe the author means literal days of 24 hours.
Add in that in the 10 commanment the 4th refers to od creating in 6 days and rested on the seventh and that this is the pattern for mankind to follow.

If you want to believe the atheist propergander that the earth is millions of years old you will have to prove it from the bible.

Taking the verse ' A day with the Lord is like a thousand years' out of contexts does not work, unless you are going to apply it to Jesus in the tomb and we are waiting for his resurrection.

That God created in 6 days is not in question we both believe that my contention is the genesis account of creation should be read starting with  Noah and should be read in a spiritual sense.
The terms evening and morning can be seen as light and darkness
Good and evil.

. 1  notes In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth

How long did this take we are not told could well be millions of years.

Why is it out of context to me it's a statement of fact if not what is the context and why does St Peter make a point of telling us not to forget it to me this implies it is important.

But that's exactly what the bible says that God created man in his image in six days and that man is Christ Jesus our Lord.

Israel is the first Adam of this creation this can not be disputed God calls Israel his son no one after the flood is called his son except until the arrival of the second Adam.
The Adam before the flood died so we can discount him.

We Know Christ is the Image of God the Father so if we look at Christ at his second coming we will get an idea what the Father looks like.

16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord

Will the church the bride meet the Lord in the flesh or in the spirit I say in the Spirit and head and body will be joined together and we will have man in the image of God.

If we are spiritual now why will we be changed at his coming.

In this world on our time scale Christ rose on the third day then ascended to the Father on the spiritual time scale 1000 years for a day Christ will return to the earth on the third day the three thousandth year which is around about now give or take a few hundred years.
another thing to remember is in Christs day the day started at sun down and Christ rose in the dark part of the day when Mary came to the tomb at sun rise Christ had already risen so may be in the spiritual Christ is already  starting to put things in order for his return.

The other thing John you keep using the cop out "out of context " I would prefer it if you gave me what you think the context is.

Love and Peace
Dave

Hi
well no rebuttal must have got something right :great:

A lot of  the disputes on this thread are about the time scale and what dose man in Gods image look like when god began his work of creation it was finished as we are told in Hebrews.

Heb_4:3  For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, ?As I swore in my wrath, ?They shall not enter my rest,?? although his works were finished from the foundation of the world.

So Gods rest is still a future event God will only rest when the creation is finished and the very last thing to be created is Man in Gods image and the only one in scripture who is said to be the image of God is Christ.

Heb_1:3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

But now he is not man in Gods Image because he is not united with his Bride the church this will happen at his second coming this is why this creation is still ongoing and will not end until Christ and his bride are united then we will have Man in the image of God.

Love and Peace
Dave

Hi
Lets take a closer look at Man in God Image the best place to start is with Israel Gods Son Adam of this creation what did Israel look like.
first you have the Head in this case Moses next you have the High priest then the priesthood and finally the children this is Man in the image of God this is the blue print of what is to come through Christ Jesus our Lord.
I believe when God said let us make man in our image he ment mankind as a whole not jest one man what will mankind in Gods image look like Christ will be the head he will also be the high priest those he has chosen will be the priesthood his bride the church his helper his Eve if you like and all those who have chosen him will be the children.
and this man in the image of God will enter into the paradise of God the Eden the new heaven and earth that God will create after the millennium.

Love and Peace

I'm new to this thread. But I'm surprised and disappointed. It's simply crass stupidity to believe we descended from a rock. It's not only stupid but un-Christian.

The theory of evolution is a load of rubbish. It was debunked years ago. It was promulgated by anti-theists in order to ridicule Christianity. It does not stand up to scrutiny, it cannot hold up to the latest DNA research, the fossel table denies it, the Geological Table is no support and it's failed the time test.

It's greatest living supporter is Dworkins who cannot now debunk the maths flaws so he actually agrees in a Creator. But he cannot bring himself to admit there's a God so he now claims life was seeded by aliens!

Doubters, read John 1:

1?In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

The Greek for "Word" is "logos". Logos is the principle that the Divine plan can manifest itself in YOU and that God gave you logic, reason and the Word to express that. Logos is the principle that your Word can express God's Creation.

So if Genesis tells us that the world was created in 6 days and the Bible (thanks to Bishop Usher) tells us Genesis was 4004 BC, then have faith and argue for it.

Don't be scared of looking foolish. There is plenty of
evidence and in any argument with an evolutionist, you can win. Easily. All their DNA and radio dating and cosmological arguments dissappear like mist on a spring morning under any examination.

In 2020, Evolution is for children. The Bible is for Man.

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." Matthew 5:18.

Wrong. John 1:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Word=logos=reason=logic=the revalation of God's divine plan here on Earth and your ability to express it=science.

So no. Science reveals God's creation. It's simply crass stupidity to believe we descended from a rock. Atheists have rebelled against God, mainly because they are avoiding his judgement. They are too far from the Bible. So use the athiest's own arguments. Use science.
