Manipulation in media.

Christianstogether ~ Bringing Christians together
We all know that news we see by certain channels can be fabricated to promote a certain agenda. In UK we all know the good old BBC has been doing this for years and has been fined many times a year, year after year for doing this. In USA I have heard it is an similar story but from CBN and others.
What surprised me though, in recently watching RT news, how they have fabricated history to not only be anti Israel, but the article is designed specifically to promote war and conflict from both sides.
To understand how such programs are put together they will always interview some sort of professional intellectual person (E.g. a professor). If you ever see such a program, let the manipulative alarm bells ring and turn to a different channel. If you want to know your history either get old books from just after the period being studied or ask someone of that age that saw the goings on and were either there or have heard events as they were happening at the time.
Some of today's news I have seen is so manipulative that whole programmes have been fabricated and the younger generation (Even the older generation) can be missled.

How to manipulate people is big business. Just think of all the money that is spent on market research, advertising, brand development, etc, etc and psychology is often involved too.

The population is always being manipulated. Think back to your childhood. Was homosexuality acctepable then? How did it become acceptable, by manipulation of popular opinion.
How is Christianity viewed today? Why is it seen like that? Who is changing peoples opinion of Christianity?

Oh things definitely have changed. Maybe some things have changed for the better, cause I don't like to be all doom and gloom. So in that vein, people living longer, medical breakthroughs, technology, etc.

As for attitudes changing, one that does seem a lot more prevalent is this idea of being no right and no wrong. I was chatting to a friend the other day who is involved in youth work in churches and she confirmed this attitude is kind of the usual now for young people.

Yeah great topic @Goaty

You only have to look at the "fake news"  .. to see how people can be manipulated and that is really concerning..

Social media and going with a crowd -  using dating agencies [ no not for me] but if others want to do that then fine..

Goodness knows where social media is going

..

@Goaty - I don't  think for a minute that social media is to blame..

The trouble is that "the heart is sick" [not using the new slang / in which sick has been reversed to mean cool]

People seem to live their own lives and God is on the shelf..

This is why you see a sick society - with sick role models..

You wanted me give an answer to something....

God will not do that[ [ I once met someone who came to Christ only because she wanted her husband to be healed - I could not give her the answer. [because she was all about herself and her wants

Her husband died ..and she  walked away

I knew another who came to Christ  and God spoke to her - and used me[ - because [she thought she had cancer] I gave her a word of knowledge and God reminded her of her childhood.. through me..

Once she realised she did not have cancer she - disappeared - she just went-she just vanished..

I mean human kind can be so hollow [on the surface] she had God speaking to her and yet .. she
 just went ..left. walked away

God is first because nothing else matters but God.

We surround ourselves in things. Distractions. God wants us to have provision. He wants us to have things and not to suffer. But things can take over when we get too many.

I am one who can go for ages focusing on one thing if it is something that "Grabs" my attention. Sometimes this is a blessing. Sometimes not. Depends....
