Was looking at old industrial steam locomotives shunting little rusty metal tub wagons back and fore to get coal etc and the filming was done about ten years ago and the operation was labour intensive but there was no shortage of workers to tip the wagons over by hand and back up. While the trains were around 100 years old and patched up made by the old British empire, I was thinking. In Britain we've become so regulation minded we've destroyed countless jobs. We've mechanised to such a degree we can hardly find a way back. We've destroyed more jobs via minimum wage rule. We've destroyed even more jobs to keep less people in work but at higher wages with higher stresses and higher taxes to support those without work. We've made things in such a mess with our high tech high society living. Why can't we live a simple life with less stress (Even though work may be labour intensive at times, stress is hardly an issue as there are always extra help when needed). What a crazy mess we have today in Britain. Let's look at India and watch what works and what does not. In India there is poverty, but at least in poverty jobs are available to provide work and shelter. Here in UK if you started with nothing you could not just start shining shoes as a licence and permit are required that need money outlay to start. Even charities need permissions and licences to stand on the town centres! Absolutely crazy that we've destroyed the very freedoms we fought for in WW 1 and 2 in such a way. It is not democracy as democracy has to have a foundation of freedom in order for it to work. We no longer have democratic freedom to start a party unless we happen to be extremely wealthy. I think it was way over 100k just to stand as a party. That is without the election leaflets and support I've not included. So where has the freedom gone? Why have we allowed such extremism to exist where only rich can have the say? What dictatorship is this?

The question you should be asking is who ties the hands of buisness and workers?

What world view enables people to work, take risks and benefit from work and risk taking?

What world view is against risk taking, wants to regulate/control life for its own advantage?

What world view blinds and ties up its followers so they don't realise they are trapped?

I'll give you a clue, you'll find the answer in 'why africa needs christianity?'

I'm not sure about looking at India to see what works and what does not. To my knowledge they still have the caste system in India - do you agree with that? So basically if one is born into the lowest caste (hope I have the correct word) your stuck there. It is a totally unfair system and based on karma I believe? - I like to point out to those who believe in karma, just what said beliefs involve. So their system - (unless it has been changed) keep people in poverty.

Hi
Are we heading for disaster fast In my humble opinion yes unless mankind dose a complete about face which is not likely to happen any time soon besides the fact that the scriptures tell quite plainly the things will go from bad to worse all we can do is to trust and abide in Christ and hopefully pluck a few unbelievers from the flames.

Love and Peace

There is far more that we can do.
We are to be salt and light to the world,  which means having an influence upon the world.
an example from the world. acceptence of gays. This came about because gays and there supports were prepared to talk about it, they also sort to influence those in positions of influence or to be in those positions and they changed the cultre.

We should be seeking to do this both humanly and spiritually. What else does 'go into the whole world' mean?

How are we saved? Repent and believe in Jesus Christ. That He died for us. To repent is to turn away from sin. If somebody believes Jesus Christ has died for them but has not repented then this person is not yet saved as their heart has not turned to follow Him. They have had the revelation of who Christ is, but they have not changed their ways. There is no salvation without repentance.
We should be ambassadors for Christ.
Accept gays into the church as they need God. Welcome them in with love as if they were your own brother or sister, ensuring we do not change Gods standards in the church to align with mankinds sinful nature.

You've missed the point MG.
Yes we should be welcoming etc to those who'se life style doesn't honour God. I was using the 'gay'rights movement as an example of how Christians should be active in promoting Christianity.
