If you mean the pride in our, that is the sinners, ability to do everything and to know better than God.
Then yes you are right.

No I think one of the biggest barriers in a Christian's life is that they believe what the scriptures say, our God was Almighty, He healed, He was everywhere, He was love, He cared, He was powerful, He spoke from heaven...the list goes on.

Yes you are reading that right, God was these things in past tense at the times it was written in the Bible.  His mighty power hasn't existed since the last full stop in the book of revelation.  Because to believe that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, seems to be a very alienesque thing to many Christians.

If God was all these things way back then in the Bible, then why is He not capable of being all these things now today?

It is a good job that Jesus upturned some apple carts in His time, or else you wouldn't have the freedom as a believer now to deny Him and His works now.

You need to ask yourselves what spirit it is that God has given you.

What answers do believers have? What answers do they not have? What answers are needed in order to please God and be with Him forever
