Hi All,

I am going try to post an article from my website "The Final Feast."   I would like to request help in "editing" it and also I would like suggestions about "readability."  It is difficult for me to have perspective on what is and is not understandable to people these day because when I write things seem crystal clear to me.  However I have been told that it is not always that way with others.

So, if you were going to help with, say, editing you would just make the corrections you thing are appropriate and then re-post in on this threat.  Or, if you would like to make suggestions just post them.

This first article I would like to try this with is:  As True Prophets, We Have To Try."  This one is not as long as most so I thought it would be a good test case.

God Bless and thanks a bunch!

Title: As True Prophets We Have To Try

?As true prophets, we have to try, defeat is only inevitable if we do nothing.?

There is a vast amount of inertia built up within the Christian Church.  Just like Newton?s first law of motion the direction of the church will not change unless an external force is applied to it.  This is why God sets apart true prophets.  Unless God sends someone from outside the ?status quo? the direction of His people  will not change.
Many believers are often lulled into the more comfortable notion that they can remain in a particular denomination and change it from within.  However, because they are carried forward by the same spiritual momentum  as everyone else they ultimately  do little good.

This is why most true prophets are outside the normative church.  In order to be of any use to God they cannot work from within.  Those God sends to reform are those God first sets apart.  John the Baptist is a prime example of this type of godly separation.  It was necessary for him to be in the wilderness so that He could hear God without being dragged down with the rest of Israel that was heading for destruction.  Here is a truth,

?In order to be a solution you cannot be part of the problem.?

Contrary to what many church leaders teach God does separate true prophets for a time bringing them into places of spiritual solitude so that He can fashion them into agents of change.  Church leadership does not understand such callings because to them,  being part of  the group,  is the sum total of their world.  Often times they are so blinded by their need to preserve what they have built that even if a true prophets thunders  ?it is not of God!? they will protect the status quo with a fury born of hell.

However large the monolith of the church might seem, if you are called to be a true prophet of change, you have to try.  Your ability to change that which seems immovable rests not in your own talents but rather in the still small voice of the Father which speaks from within you.  One word spoken by a true prophet at the right time to the right person in the right way is more powerful than ten thousand  sermons preached by those who do not heed God?s voice.

As true prophets our main responsibility is to lift up the rod of God has given us in the sight of the people.  Whichever rod you have been given simply lift it up and  God will honor His word and change will surely come.

Most interesting Michael.

I have read some of the stuff on your website, and yes parts may need some tweaking. However in reading this particular post, to me it seems vividly clear and well presented. Although I am sure that an English specialist would love to rewrite it and perhaps at the same time eviscerate it of all meaning!.

But above and beyond the grammatical presentation, your message is prophetic and spot on target.
But then I react to it as the subject of your word, one who was called outside of the institution more than a decade ago!

God made it abundantly clear that my wife and I should leave that institution.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

Hi Francis,

Well, ok then...thanks for the imput.  I appreciate it.

What are your thoughts about those who have left the church?  Even the children of Israel initially had a destination.

God bless,

Michael King

Hi Michael, we left the institution because the Lord told us to do so. We did not however, leave the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As far as I am concerned the institutions we see on street corners are not the church despite containing countless members of the church.
In my view and experience, the false church has hijacked the body of Christ and prevents it doing the work that God would have it do. That is why I will not join myself to any such organisation.

Just like the Israelites demanded of Samuel the prophet, "Give us a king like the nations around us," so have believers demanded strong men to be their kings.

1Sam8v6But the thing was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, "Give us a king to judge us." And Samuel prayed to the LORD. 7The LORD said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them.

NB. I am not sure what your comment about Israel refers to?

Hi Francis,

I understand your sentiments perfectly.  I agree.

My comment about the Israelites was that when God led them out of Egypt they where to go and whorship in the wilderness.  I was wondering if we are led to leave the false church then what are we to do?

God bless,

John 15

The Vine and the Branches

15 ?I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

5 ?I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father?s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples
.

And also

Hebrews 10

19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Read these today, was led to the John 15, by someone posting somewhere John15:9-12.  I always read a full chapter as a general rule when a quote is given, to get a fuller picture, what surrounds it.  The John 15 quote actually is a massive direct confirmation of a picture I drew whilst at church on sunday.  Imagine my avatar here in the middle of the tree of life, with the shekinah glory blazing out.  The instant refinement, restoration.  You shall be restored by the renewal of your mind.  Renewed.....lol lots of 're' words there!  The fruits written in the trunk, the birds on the branches.  So for me yeah quite a confirmation!
