Book of Revelation has come up quite a bit recently, and there is much misunderstanding or no knowledge of it.  It is a book a lot of people avoid, because it seems complicated or hard to understand.

So thought it might be an idea, to go through each chapter, where we can discuss them together.

So we will start with Revelation 1.

Prologue

1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw?that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Hi Wincam
How about rev 1 3

.  3  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand

Don't you think it nice to be blessed

Hi Wincam
Thanks to your reply but I think you will find there was only 7
 churches.

.Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; View more

Rev 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. View more

Rev 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches

As for your statement that that the scriptures quoted was only for the churches are you forgetting what St Paul had to say.

.   16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (Compare)

17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works

Love and Peace
