Going from Genesis 3:24 to Hebrews 1:7 we go to  Ephesians 6:17

 Revelation 1:16  In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword.
His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

Out from the mouth of Jesus comes a sword - a living energy "Word" active - the same word that was with God and was God -
the Word that spoke out of the Mouth of God  and all things were created.

Revelation 2:16  Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

This Word fights against those against us - He does not fight against His own.

The below scripture popped up in my mind this morning and it was before I read the above post, then your post reminded me of it.

Isaiah 55:11 'So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.'

And so out of the mouth of God the Spirit/Jesus comes forth and He will/did/does accomplish that which He set out too - For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders.

Isaiah 9:7  Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

As seed is to the sower and bread to the eater - so God's word goes out from His mouth and will "not return empty" Isaiah 55:11;

For you will go out with Joy and be led forth in peace and the tree's of the fields shall clap their hands - this is an invitation
to all who are thirsty Isaiah 55:1-13....

Compare Psalm 68:18 with Ephesians 4:8

The Christ of conquest rides victorious

Its coming together.....

Well yes after I was reading replies on here this morning I did think of God is with us, or Immanuel...then you posted about God is with us.

Isaiah 9

6 For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given,
    and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
    there will be no end.......

The zeal of the Lord Almighty
    will accomplish this

Which was the scripture I was looking at in the 'spiritual oppression' thread which had me think of this thread this morning, then you also posted that scripture, so if anything my reply is a confirmation of your reply that way.

Once you acknowledge, know, believe that God is ... Immanuel, God with us, that He dissipates or scatters the enemy, our walk becomes easier and free.

The trees will clap their hands, the birds will fly freely, the seeds will take root and bring forth life and beauty.  This to me is the aroma of God, the sweet fragrance as Primrose would describe.  The true felt knowledge of God that sets you free.

If He sets you free you are free indeed.

It's worth noting that seeds don't stay seeds forever.  I often see the parable of the seeds mentioned in many different threads for different purposes.  What I don't often see, is those seeds talked about having been planted, then germinating and growing into what they were sent out to do/be.
We are the seeds as much as the knowledge is seeds.
The bottom line is, seeds are wisdom.

Hhmmmmm something else sprang up today. In church service the below passage was mentioned;

Matthew 7:7-8New King James Version (NKJV) '?Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.'

Now upon hearing the above it immediately sprang to mind another verse (see below). I am not sure if there are connections or not :undecided:.

Revelation 3:20New King James Version (NKJV) ' Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.'

So in Matthew it is us doing the knocking on a door? and yet in Revelations I think it referring to Jesus knocking on a door? Now I wondering what is this 'door'? Perhaps not a literal one? I've heard some say it is God asking to come into our life - all of our life. Okay, so if we are knocking at a door, what door are we knocking at/on?

Hi
I think it's plain from the following verses that Christ is the door.

Joh 10:7  Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:8  All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

I wonder what he meant by saying we are able to go in and out.

Joh 8:36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Dose going in and out mean we can go out into the world clothed with the full armer of God and the sword of truth to do battle then when we return home go in to be with our Lord again in prayer.

 Mat 6:6  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Love and Peace
Dave
