Hi
Moving on to the next passage sorry its a bit long but I did not know how to break it up it's such a wonderful piece of scripture.

Rev 7:9  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:10  And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev 7:11  And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Rev 7:12  Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 7:13  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev 7:15  Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
Rev 7:16  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
Rev 7:17  For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

A great multitude sometimes one thinks we are so alone as believers in this day and age but we are a great multitude of brothers and sisters in the lord who will be looked after by him read the last two verses what wonderful promises we have so much to look forward to.

Love and Peace
Dave

As the  New is in the Old Testament contained....

So the Old is by the New explained.....

As Revelation 7:9  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds,
and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their
hands;

So John 12:13 is Christ's entry into Jerusalem - this is  antitype [a type of]

This is typology = Old Testament - New Testament.

Easter is a type of new day event.  @davetaff of something that will happen but yet has already.

As the Tomb - of Jesus was empty [as the pharisees tombs are already full of bones Matthew 23:27] "were /will be"

So our tomb should be filled with Him [clean-righteous] as He took our place [took -takes -will take]

He knows our tombs - as His tomb was empty - to fill ours  to fullness

Hi TJ
Yes the last section dose have an element of Easter about it all the faithful heralding in our Lord and King at his second advent lets pray it will be soon.

Moving on to the next section.

Rev 8:1  And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
Rev 8:2  And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

What was this half hour silence in heaven how long was it on earth what dose it signify the calm before the storm maybe.

then we have the Seven angles I take this to be the seven angles of the seven churches whereas these churches have been struggling and persecuted by the secular world now they are given trumpets to sound a warning to the world of things that to happen maybe they have already started what I do know is the world needs to sit up and take notice.

Love and Peace

Silence here can be seen as a ripple before the wave.

Heaven is always active and never quiet - so silence is the calm before the storm.

eg : God shut the door of the Ark :  and people saying "all is well"  Matthew 24:38

As the army marched around Jericho seven times" and then gave a great shout  Joshua 6:4 And so the trumpets blew and the walls fell down

Or as the earth grew dark as Jesus was on the Cross

As too God can seem to be silent Psalm 28:1-5 as David cries out

There's plenty of activity going on and noise at these times - but God is silent

Hi Tj
Thanks for your post I particularly like your reference to Jericho seams to fit in well with revelation's will the seven angle's with the seven trumpets bring down the defences of the secular world so that Christ our King with all those who belong to him march straight in and take over.

Rev 8:3  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
Rev 8:4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
Rev 8:5  And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Is this the beginning of Gods answer to our prayers Thy Kingdom come thy will be done these prayers have been going up to God from his saints from Eden till the present day.

Love and Peace

The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God's people, went up before God from the angel's hand.

Jesus Christ the Mediator/ Intercessor / as we intercede for others........and mediate - there is only One Mediator/ Intercessor / Conduit

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,

The prayers of free and slave / Jews and Gentiles, barbarians, Scythians, bond and free...
