Hi
Moving on to rev 6 the breaking of the seals that release the 4 horses I've already commented on the first two in previous post so thought we'd move on to the third seal.

Rev 6:5  And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
Rev 6:6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

It seams this is foretelling of food shortages of course there are large areas of the world where food is a scarce commodity and I did see on the tv some time back the scientists where looking into using insects and there larva as a food sauce because with the growing populations we will not be able to produce enough food to feed them.
I believe we could produce enough food at the present time if we wanted to but of course there is no profit in it so it wont happen.

what about the oil and the wine they usually represent the spirit and the blood these heavenly  heavenly gifts will still be available to all those who wish to avail themselves of then and of course the bread of heaven Christ.

Love and Peace

Rev 4:1  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

That is what I thought - I suppose people cal it a "vision"  because it was what John saw

The first part being "the message given to John"

The second being a vision and the third being actual "vision"  mm interesting

Aye Cain killed Abel

Abel had but a short life .... yet cain seemed to live on....

Cain died eventually yet Abel is seen as the victim ?  why would Christ be seen as the victim ?

Abel was victorious ...

Hi Tjs
I don't think I'm rushing there is a danger of looking at a verse at a time or words by them selves that one can loose the context of the passage which I find more interesting.

Not sure what this has to do with revelations but the way I see it is Cain the elder son killed able the younger son this was played out again much later when Israel the older son killed Christ the younger son.
Adam and Eve had another son Seth who was the image of his father Adam who  was the image of God Seth was in place of Able a type of resurrection.
In my opinion history always repeats it's self in the bible we need to stop thinking of Genesis as something that's done and dusted but a mine of information about things that have happened things that are happening and things that will happen it's to vast for my old brain but I do get glimpses sometimes.

Okay, just dipping in here, I have been following this thread, but a lot of it is beyond my understanding - I've usually avoided Revelations (the book) previously.

However the last post said;

'Not sure what this has to do with revelations but the way I see it is Cain the elder son killed able the younger son this was played out again much later when Israel the older son killed Christ the younger son.'

Maybe I getting a tad confused here, but I not clear on how Christ is the younger son? I thought Christ has kind of always been, because He is God, part of the trinity and was there at the beginning and nothing that has been/will be/is created is done without Him - or summat like that? So as ever I'm a bit confused :undecided:
