I take it that the rapture has taken place the church the bride and Christ are united and have become one and it is these who will reign on earth with Christ.

I have wondered if the 144.000 from Israel will be included will they be redeemed at the same time as the rapture or after anyone have any thoughts on this.

Then we have all the hosts of Heaven around the throne singing praises what a fantastic sight that will be.

Hi Tjs
not to sure, it would be nice if others joined in mite get a bit boring talking to myself mind you I would get an intelligent answer

But we can give it a try see how it goes what dose Serenity think she started it would she like it to continue.

Rev 5:10  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Rev 5:11  And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

I take it that the rapture has taken place the church the bride and Christ are united and have become one and it is these who will reign on earth with Christ.
I have wondered if the 144.000 from Israel will be included will they be redeemed at the same time as the rapture or after anyone have any thoughts on this.

Love and peace

Sorry davetaff I meant to get back earlier on your question.  I been in a lot of pain this week, it distracts me somewhat, but apologise all the same, I just wanted to assure you I not ignoring you!

As I said in the OP, I really am not that clued up on this book, and for me, answers people give are really a perspective thing on something which is revelation from God.

People's approach to such is often in a study way, theological approach.
For me, I feel it should be looked at from the perspective of seeking revelation from God what His revelation meant.

Really, people do just what John did in this book in the Body of Christ today... working within the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We should have 2000+ years of writings as the Body to read through to help build it.
However, man has chosen to put walls and barriers to God's very real, walking talking relationship with Him, just as David walked with our Father.  Look at his relationship with God.  Jesus showed you what having relationship was and how to be co heirs of the kingdom of God.

People speak of the kingdom 'to come', when the kingdom is upon you, you have moved into eternal life, you can have that real experience with God now. He has, does, can and will give you current revelation.  This is what the Body needs.  Revelation 21, is about the new heaven and earth, it also to me interprets as a current event when you spend that one day in His court (Psalm 84).

By all means talk through what you think God is saying about this particular book of revelations, but don't think for one minute that God has ceased giving revelations to His people.

This all aside, I do think it would be good if you could drive this thread dave, because I just cant guarantee my being able to stay on top of it, let alone understanding how people interpret it.

So please dave if you will, onwards and upwards with this thread

Peace in Christ

Hi Tjs

What I mean by the rapture is this.

1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

When all those who are saved are gathered together in Christ Jesus our Lord you can call it what you like but I suppose rapture is as good a word as any.

Love and Peace

I wonder if this is a vision or if John was actually there or do you think it was both ?

In a way as serenity suggested "we are already in heavenly places"

Hi serenity
Thank's for your reply and encouragement I will continue a bit longer with the thread to see where it leads  but it would be nice if others would join in it would make it more interesting.

So lets plod on with the last 4 verses of Rev 5

Rev 5:11  And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Rev 5:12  Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Rev 5:13  And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Rev 5:14  And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Here we see our Lord Jesus coming into his Glory The question is when did this happen was it a future event or did it happen at pentecost when he was taken up to Heaven.
There dose not seam to be any mention of the church here so it would seam Christ received all this before being united with his bride anyone else have any thoughts on this passage.

I wonder if this is a vision or if John was actually there or do you think it was both ?

Hi Tjs it dose say in the beginning that John was in the Spirit on the lords day  question being if one is in the spirit dose one have access to heaven not sure will have to think about it and pray for help.

In a way as serenity suggested "we are already in heavenly places"

I believe we are heirs to the kingdom of God and heaven is where God is and the end of revelations tells us God will come down to us this has not happened yet so in a way serenity is right this earth we live on will become heaven.

Just came across this verse which would seam toanswer the question.

Rev 4:1  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Love and Peace
Dave
