I imagine this scroll/book must be differrent to the bible we read and that it also includes those "written in the Lambs book of life" and contains what they have done - but also includes the Judgements of God in the now /past present and future/active Word - and those actively working against God and His Lordship/will - among the nations.

Hi
Thanks TJs for your post thought provoking as usual if I may go back and look at the white horse again and he who sits on him.

Rev 6:2  And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Like I said before I believe this to be Christ at his first coming as a servant to Israel he came with a rainbow a symbol of all Gods promises.

The next time we encounter a white horse it says.

Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Here we have Christ coming in his glory  KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. I think the armies that are following him are his church Paul tells us at the rapture we will meet with him in the air with all those who have died and he will take up his rightful place as the King of this world and he will  smite the nations with the sword of his mouth which is the word of God.

LOve and Peace
Dave

Do you think the white horse is symbolic or a representation   of   something ? I wonder what Jesus is riding here as "God is Spirit"

In the same way the book/scroll/ with writing on it ?

Why would heaven where God is be so primitive ?  after all " I might suggest that we are simply catching up with God when it comes to technology and science [as nothing exists that God did not create]

Imagine what it could be like in the year the year 3000 ?  are we really catching up with God or progressing backwards ?

I mean why would the white horse be a real horse and why would the bible relate to us now with a picture of a scroll and seals ?

Not to forget that in the year 3000 the bible will still be relating to people with the same pictures......

Are these literal or spiritual ?  @Guest

Next onto Revelation 5:6  Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by
the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God
sent out into all the earth.

Referred too in the Old Testament as the "Lamb of God"  Isaiah 53:7;

Any observations ?

Hi
I think it's obvious this is Christ the lamb of God as we see from the following verse he was slain from the foundation of the world.

Rev 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Interesting to note that even those not in the book of life will worship him will everyone be saved??

Then we have the seven eyes and horns these are the seven spirits of God I think this refers to the seven days of creation which is still ongoing the horns represent power the Eyes the eyes of Christ watching over every stage of creation with the power of the holy spirit to make sure everything goes according to Gods plan

Love and Peace

Hi TJS
The high point of creation is man in Gods image this has not been achieved but will be achieved in Christ when he is united with his bride the church.
This will mark the end of the sixth day of creation which started with Noah as you know the first creation was destroyed in the flood so God began again it would take 7 days 7 thousand years on the forth day Christ came into the world the sun the light of the world the moon was created the church which reflects the light of the sun the stars apostles and saints.
Then we have Gods rest we are now entering the 6th day when man in Gods image will be created Christ united with his bride then begins the 7th day Christ's millennial reign this is God the father's rest day when he hands everything over to the son.

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

At the end of Christ's millennial reign he will hand everything back to the father.

1Co 15:28  And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Then the eighth day begins the new heaven and the new earth.

So you see TJ Gods rest is a future event which means creation is still ongoing.

Love and Peace
Dave

Interesting !

What do you make of ?For anyone who enters God?s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us,

Hebrews 4

Do you believe it may be possible to enter that rest now ?
