Okay, look at Revelation 21

22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb?s book of life.

I am looking at this, and actually also noting vs 22 which links to the temple thread going on at minute.

I am both my own church (temple, singular) and a part of the corporate church (everyone).

Imagine what all these temples look like to God.  I mean scripture says God is preparing a mansion, is that different to temple? is the preparing what is going on now or do we think God is only doing that preparing in the heavenlies?

eg : there was no darkness before creation .

  I don't have much to say,but just wanted to join in.
And I see the thread has moved on beyond this post. And supposed to be about REV not creation, BUT, If there was no darkness before creation, why did God say " Let there be LIGHT!"?  And, as it was the beginning of Creation, I don't see that statement/command as just a spiritual pronouncement, but both.    :D

Yeah sorry got carried away.  That is my point though indwelt really.  Im looking at, if God commanded the light and the darkness, then exactly what is He existing in if neither of these to 'create' them?  In Revelations 21, it states what His kingdom is like now really, because He is bringing His kingdom down to earth.  This is how I linked from revelation to creation.  But yeah do get carried at times, my bad...I like a good muse

My best guess is Ps 139 " Yea, the darkness hides not from You; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to You[/u]."

Agree I too muse. And , how can separate Gen from Rev, one and the same story!! :D

Okay I just have to get rest of this thought pattern out before bed...might have been dark before light, but God doesn't abide in the darkness other than there is never true darkness where God is.

But the vision there in Revelations...we are a temple of the holy spirit, I pondered on imagine what it looks like to God all us temples, well the vision in Rev 21 tells you that really....22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

So this is the 'in Jesus Christ' bit having approach to throne...the light so bright might be as well, because of the added combination of the lights of all the saints together, reunited....making all things new.

Obviously there was no evil before satan rebelled - so the darkness could only be within "where God was " before He created....

Day and Night was yet to be created
