Okay, I don't have anything else fruitful to add to the thread other than what I have already put.
I'm also learning when to shut up and backout, always willing to be taught, lest I lose my peace.
Don't mistake this for not holding onto my convictions. God bless :D

Okay, I'm impressed with your pliability! ... To God be all the Glory!
"Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey,
you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether
(slaves) of sin leading to (eternal) death, or
(slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness?
... so now present your members as
slaves of righteousness for (leading to) holiness." (Romans 6:16-19)

That's why I basically try to focus on posting Scripture (and not my own beliefs).

No Browner, you are just as bad as the rest. You twist scripture to mean what Browner wants it to mean,. Here's one example from your original post.
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved,
he will receive the crown of (eternal) life - But each one is tempted when he is drawn
away by his own desires - Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;
and sin when it is full-grown brings forth (eternal) death. (James 1:12-16)

You have inserted a word that is not in the original. ie. You added (eternal) before death because that's your Browner slant. So don't boast that you just post scriptures please.

Quote

But, believe you me ... people reject Scripture in favor of ...
their hallowed and sacred deceptions, biases, and false doctrines of men.

Exactly what you are doing.
Quote
Satan who "deceives the whole world" is the greatest liar and deceiver in the history of the world,
and certainly is "the god of this age" (2 Cor 4:4) and "the ruler of this world" (John 12:31).
Nobody doubts that Browner.
That's why we reject what you say.
Quote
Critical false doctrines are grace-only and OSAS!
Christians who live by "grace-only, sinning is okay" ... are apostates (Jude 4).
The NKJV has "apostates" in 3 of its section headings in Jude.
You make a huge leap of nonsense that just because people believe in Grace, that they also insist that sinning is ok. In my many decades in this walk, I have yet to meet a single grace based believer who believes that rubbish.
Its what is called a straw man argument. You invent a thesis that nobody here is presenting, you boldly demolish it, you pat yourself on the back and boast at how good your argument is.

Be careful Browner, you will be judged you according to your own words admirable spelled out in the thread title.

As for me, nothing I do will ever shift me from being a much beloved son of my daddy in heaven. I have his spiritual DNA and that will never change.
I am not merely a servant. I am a son indeed.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

The more I study the NT the more WARNINGS I see,
but all the while ? most pastors are preaching GRACE!
Most of the NT was written to born-again Christians in the churches,
so many warnings were written to YOU (if indeed you are born-again).
However, most believers today are blind to them (for several reasons).
Dozens of verses WARN:  If you choose to keep on sinning without
serious confession and repentance (sincere regret and desire to change),
you will fall from grace and forfeit your salvation!

I presume that by losing your salvation, you mean losing your eternal life.
That being the case, show me anywhere that falling from grace loses your eternal life. Because none of your scriptures demonstrate that.

Quote

Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. Does anyone know what eternal means?

If something is eternal, the dictionary say it means never ending, and that definition obviously applies to the usage of the word in the following verses.

1John5v10The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. 11And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

So can someone explain, how our eternal life can for any reason whatsoever be cancelled?
If eternal life can be lost, then it was never eternal and God or his apostles all lied.

According to the above scripture, those who teach that eternal life can be cancelled must be lying or ignorant.
Also according to the above scripture, such a person is also calling God a liar!

Yes, it appears you're another one who thinks the Lord goes around killing people because they sin!
Butski, the world's population is growing by leaps and bounds, not similarly decreasing!
Not physical death ... it's eternal death.

Why aren't you complaining about the other (eternal)?
Do you have the revelation that this crown refers to salvation?

Don't you know that most N.A. churches are preaching ...
an "easy grace", "greasy grace" gospel ...
where God's grace just wonderfully covers over their many sins?

Yes, it is truly wonderful how wonderful Jesus truly is!
He sends the unbelievers who are habitual sinners to Hell.
Meanwhile ...
He sends the believers who are habitual sinners to Heaven.
Amazing grace, right?

This eternal life is only for true believers, who are described in all of the NT.
True belief = enduring belief-faith-trust-obedience until the end of one's life!

For example:
Those who love Jesus obey His commandments ... and not just one time!
Does anyone get into heaven who do not love Jesus?
And it must follow:
Does anyone get into heaven who do not obey Jesus' commandments?
"Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey,
you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether
(slaves) of sin leading to (eternal) death, or

Just a little admin nudging reminder.

Here on this forum, unlike many others, people are free to discuss, share and explore their faith, their journeys and their paths, wherever they may be in life.

The ethos and focus being on encouragement and nurturing.

With this in mind, please be mindful in the manner you speak to one another, and the spirit you do it in.  Arrogance and pride is not good.  Love and encouragement is.  Because when things are put across or presented in an arrogant way, it puts restrictions on people being able to be open.

I hope you understand and respect this, and that this is merely a small nudge or reminder from admin.

God bless :D

Hi
What worries me about these posts is what about all those who have never heard of Jesus or God from the foundation of the world are they all condemned to hell and damnation is it only those who have heard the gospel in the last 2000 years who will be saved I don't think so did Christ suffer and die jest to save a small percentage of humanity.
Or did he die for the sins of the world we know all Israel will be saved so why not all the gentiles was the sacrifice to small.

Love and Peace
Dave
