This is a three minute video by Patricia King on what happens when we speak out decrees!

I was actually trying to find a CD done by Patricia King which is truly brilliant. Its just called "Decree" and consists of scripture promises sung or spoken, all in the first person so they can be claimed by each of us as we listen and join in.

In that search I came across this video which succinctly addresses this thread.

I just need to find where my CD has gone now!
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

Interesting video, thanks for posting it up!

I liked the comparison to speaking out a decree to and in the name of the King, which is then sealed (or sealed by His promise)...I so gonna try this out.

My children, do not fear all the things happening in the world or around you. Be steadfast and trust Me, do not fear anything or anybody. Man can only kill your body not your soul. Be willing to die for Me and My Kingdom. Do not love your own life more than Me, then you will lose it.

Why are you afraid of your future? Your future is with Me. I am in control and know
all the plans I have for you, they are good not bad. I want to build you up not tear you down. Do not be afraid of the unknown, trust Me. I know what is yet to come, nothing is hidden from Me. I know the end from the beginning already.

Stay with Me, follow Me and you will never be in darkness. I am faithful, I change not. I am able to do the impossible in any situation, nothing is too hard for Me. Trust Me fully.

My child, now is the time to be bold, steadfast and fearless, do not be afraid of anything. You know Me, I am with you to the end and will not leave you nor forsake you. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Do not be afraid, trust Me

4You are of God, little children, and you have conquered them, for greater is He Who is in you than he who is in the world

Philippians 2

1If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.

Took a bit of finding this thread again, I had to resort to using the 'search' button .

Anyways, just came across something in a book today, I was looking over some old notes and stumbled upon this (see below), from book 'The Devil Has No Mother' by Nicky Cruz, P.131 and P.132. I particularly like the very last one :)

(Under the heading of)
Foretastes of the Final Victory.

Yes, Satan is alive and active in these evil times.
BUT - God is still in control and working out his great plan

Dabbling in the occult and ungoldly forms of entertainment exposes us to spiritual danger.
But - as we abandon those foolish activities, we close the doors on the gateways to the demonic.

The devil has brilliant powers of deception to make us feel trapped.
BUT - Jesus is still in the business of setting people free.

The devil and his demons attack us individually.
BUT - the blood of Jesus protects us.

Satan masquerades as an angel of light
BUT - God's Word shows us that the devil's realm is a dominion of darkness.

The devil afflicts us with mental and spiritual harm.
BUT - God redeems what the devil tries to destroy.

The devil finds creepy ways to scare us.
BUT - he is like a junkyard dog: he's kept on a leash by God.

The devil possesses and oppresses people.
BUT - as we stay close to God and reject temptations to sin, we can successfully resist demonic influence.

The devil is tilting our whole culture his way.
BUT - God enables us to stand up against evil in our society, and he remains in ultimate control.

The devil just keeps attacking.
BUT - God will help us to hold firm for as long as we need to.

I can very much relate to your original post Serenity and I do very much appreciate you starting this thread. My mind can be a roller coaster of thoughts and emotions, all swirling around, hard to pin down; but it doesn't matter, as long as I don't buy into the negativity - as long as I cling onto God, all will be well. I am not saying that I have it all sorted, that it is all easy - cause it not, it a daily battle, sometimes a minute by minute battle; but I do know God is with me, even if I forget at times.

Thanks again for starting this thread, I in process of re-reading :D.
