Isaiah 11

2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him?
    the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
    the Spirit of counsel and of might,
    the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord?

3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
   He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
   or decide by what he hears with his ears;

4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
   with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
   He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
   with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness will be his belt
   and faithfulness the sash around his waist

Spirit of wisdom
Spirit of understanding
Spirit of counsel
Spirit of might
Spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord

Righteousness will be his belt
Faithfulness the sash around his waist

This had me thinking about the armour of God, and how things Godly are described as pieces of garments.  How these are your defence.  How these are also spiritual.

Ephesians 6

14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord?s people

Have to get ready for work now, but wanted to get my thought process down on paper so to speak before I go, because I don't normally get this 'in a morning', so hopefully there is a rhyme or reason for it.
'For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.'

(Gal 6:8-10)

Hello @Serenity,

I enjoyed reading this, today.

Thank you for sharing it, even though it was back in 2016, and I am seeing it for the first time today in June 2020.  I hope you will be encouraged to hear that it is still being a blessing.

With love in Christ Jesus
