Sorry wincam, but i can't make sense of this?
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

Only half disclosing a thought ? as per "a depository of light gleaming from a darkened place  !

You mentioned Ruth 1:16 thy God shall be my God and thy people my people... [TJ's translation - source : tomato]

Where Ruth could have gone back to her sister in laws and to her sisters in laws gods - but instead Ruth would not leave Naomi and held onto her Mother in law.

In parallel Jacob would not let go of God until the dawn broke and the Light dawned Genesis 32:26 ; see also : Hosea 12:4;

The night  is always proceeded by the day.....

Who will I cleave onto...

have you ever seen someone in the street talking to oneself - seems to be unable to restrain oneself - whilst asleep or sometimes even awake ever heard the voice of mother or father or husband or wife or lover or some relative or friend - I think we all have but have we ever assumed that it was really them that spoke - wincam

your wife perhaps ? haha, good excuse to use if you cant be bothered going to see what they want.
