I want this discussion to explore politics, not necessarily party politics because all major parties today are corrupted by the same foundational faults. By that I refer to envy, resentment, and coveting, all of which are the basis of socialism (with a small "s").

Please don't knee jerk respond if I tread on your political toes, instead think about it and make a righteous judgement based on God's character and on scriptural truth, not party slogans. I am not merely attacking the Labour party, because as you will see, all parties use the same socialist mantraps to garner votes. Tribal voting is mindlessness at work, so maybe we will can better understand what God wants if we are willing to seek and find the truth amongst all the propaganda.

The foundational scripture has to be-
Exodus20v17
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

The whole foundational base of socialism is covetous. In simple terms it goes something like this.
"Look at all those people with their big cars and big houses, they all got rich by making you poor. Vote for me, and I will take their money and give it to you."

All parties vying for power in the upcoming general election are making endless promises to make you richer and happier by spending more money on you. Unfortunately the simple fact is that no government has money unless it is first stolen from other people. Therefore they fight for votes on the promise of giving you other people's money.

In doing all of this, they appeal to the most sinful side of man in encouraging covetousness, envy and resentment as tools of power. How much have you fallen for such promises?

Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love.                     (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

Is this too hot to handle?
 It has been viewed a fair number of times, but nobody has dared to respond. Come on guys, lets explore it, surely someone has a view on it. How can you cast a vote if you can't think for yourselves or hear what God's word, or the Holy Spirit might want to say about it?
I believe that we are being inundated with calls to lust and to covet. This applies to common advertising for a new car or coffee, but the more insidious  is used for political gain. If we don't wake up, we are sleepwalking into sin by voting for what we can gain by stealing from the goods and wealth of our neighbours.
Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Well in a way I suppose  we all jump on the bandwagon by giving to third world countries whether that be through aid or charity.

And then we buy products and eat food manufactured by these same countries

A company gets richer or makes more money for its investors by manufacturing abroad and transporting back to us [this is where money speaks louder than the pollution caused] using cheaper labour as well as cheaper warehouse storage/ we can be convinced that companies are giving the poorer communities work where otherwise they would not have work !

So cheaper production creates wealth and jobs for the poorer families , [the rich take from the poor]

We then go to the supermarket and buy many products produced as above

So in a way we all take from the poor to have a better standard of living...

I might suggest - the wealthy produce money to give the poorer in society work which in turn gives us a better standard of life - its like a big circle/boomerang isn't it ?

1 Corinthians 6:1; comes to mind here,

I don't think the politicians are doing anything different to the everyday person -  as we all play politics in one form or another -  even if its using the word  "Christian" to forward ourselves in life / in the same way as a politician might use "Church going" and "family man" to present his /her character ready for an election -  I might use "the word Christian" to promote my business

I cannot really see any difference in any party/person  , except Isaiah 9:6;

I suppose its why scripture states Luke 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged....

And speaks of "A Call to Prayer" - 1 Timothy 2:2; I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

And although not all governments are put there by God.....Romans 13:1;

Thank goodness we do not apply these scriptures below to our life's

Matthew 5:38; - Exodus 21:24; - Exodus 21:25; - Leviticus 24:20; - Deuteronomy 19:21;

If we did then we might as well apply Mark 9:47; as well - because when we take someone to court we take ourselves to court.

When we convict we convict ourselves

In this we do not apply the entire scripture to our life's - as in James 1:22; -  but we can apply the basic principles as a launchpad

This is difficult for me but I'm trying, lol.
 I see a lot now, that is antichrist  with the Spirit of political correctness there and in  most of the political parties.  I think that when the population by masses lose their  respect for God  and His Word,  then the powers are letting in politicians who are enabling policies to flourish in a man made way,and without God.  As foretold that the love of many will grow cold.  Matthew24

 Enabling the Spirit of political correctness in and all its subtleties.Seen people argue " what has God got to do with the political leaders."

Well everything.
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Romans 13:1

Only I believe that doesn't happen when the population reject God except for some exceptions.

This didn't happen before.
 David sought God in leadership and so have others, not in the bible. Abraham  Lincoln led the nation to prayer of repentance .Others have prayed and included Him.
Only more modern politicians are without God but there maybe isolated cases .  There has been a famine of God's word, replaced by political correctness. That's a sign of a corrupt society when the laws are against and opposed to the Word of God.   Psalm2   Amos 8:11

"The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land-- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD."

Political correctness may set out to achieve many idealist  things but they leave God out and completely persecute Him. There is a clinical coldness and imbalance in pc because there isn't the love of God's Spirit there.
I personally think that there should be structures in place to encourage everyone and all including God's Word and Spirit.

 Not in taking from the rich to give to the poor. Yet to gives opportunity to poorer people as well and to all disadvantaged people .

That's people as well with disabilities and older people. The system is unfair because many older people are without adequate care and support. The vulnerable of society need support . All of society needs Christ.

I think marriage should be supported and family values supported but at the same time not judgemental to anyone ,who has not had that opportunity, or not wanting that . Or marriage and family breakdown or problems.  To support but not in a patronising way.

 A marriage though is a legal document and yet many couples live together commited . We didn't need a legal document with reconciling to God .Therefore and probably I would have thought that He looks at the heart commitment and looks as some couples living together as married. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but God knows not me. So marriage life and commitment supported and single parented families supported too. Family breakdown supported.

We have a growing number of ageing population now and the system is not catered for.  Many sell their homes to pay for nursing care and nursing home fees and  that costs thousands of pounds , or the state pays for it.

I see a financial struggle there and a struggle in every way to the elderly and their families. They feel isolated and cut off when their body and mind breaks down and lose social skills in interacting with new people in a new place .

Only they may sometimes find it easier to trust their families but not always seeing them because they have their own lifes. Therefore they are often isolated and there is a great social need.

When you look at other families both historically and cross culterally, they stay together and support each other. The isolation the elderly have was not there. It doesnt mean they lose their independance.My work colleagues from other countries cannot believe the isolation in this part of the world ,because their families stay together.

Over here we would need to encourage bigger houses for the extended family again, which would ultimately save money.  The status of those housekeeping and supporting family members both children and elderly needs to be given more value. That role can be done by males or females.
How lovely to have three or four generations in the same house but different sections to have their own space.  Great grand parents with great  grandchildren under the same roof, as it used to be. Instead of three or four separate homes. To give the older people more status and their values respected to be influential to the younger generations.To be their role models.  Thats how it was before and there were family values. Only things are being done in a different way now and  where there's isolation and lots of emerging problems.

There are surely ways the government can be more economical with and in resolving the problems .

I feel the Lords teachings are on sharing principles but I don't mean communism.  Only how the new testament started out. Jesus taught "do to others as you would have them do to you." Instead of the selfish  grabbing all you can get  and blow the others principles, which stems from the  evolutionary theory of the selfish gene. It's there as well behind it's promotion of human ideals because it persecutes God and all truth.  It rejects the fruits of Gods Spirit. That was seen in the days where politicians seeked God. Pc  is persecuting towards people within  its imbalance and incompleteness.  Powers and principalities of darkness are not going to provide true justice, peace and resolution.

The Word of God is active and living and instructs to look at the needs of others. To love our neighbour as ourself , to support others and the needy, and in their distress.  In the past ,now and the future until the coming of Christ again. James 1:22-27 James 2:1-25  Malachi 3:5
