The other thing is He died the sinners death which was not the fiery fire. Hebrews 2:9
Ive been told that hell now is the temporary place and after  the resurrection will be gehenna. Which was the name of a nearby rubbish dump in Israel.

I know there will be Christian s really disagreeing with me but I dont believe that its a burning for all eternity without ceasing. Thats not God and how I observe Him to be. Its true He mentioned hell a lot but I dont believe it will be like that but will come  to an end. Theres more in scripture to show the finality, than to suffer forever.  I know we discussed this already.

I've asked God these questions all day so intensively and so much   and I do not believe it's a hell fire burning for all conscious eternity  . In all those intrinsic thoughts I just know it's NOT going to be like that. Otherwise it wasn't God who spoke to me and I will be among those going to gehenna. Poor people is not enough.

I even think the finality of a person is unbearable and that He doesn't want anyone to perish. The gospel is salvation.

Which parts are conscious I wonder after death?

As Jesus preached to those in prison - I imagine they must be able to turn ?

This causes a question to arise about repentance after death - which is very questionable

It is also referred to being about "Spirit made alive" this the Holy Spirit preaching [calling] those in the time of Noah

?19in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, 20who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.

The same Ark [Christ] that saved also condemned others.....[Prison]

So Jesus caused the falling and rising of many - Luke 2:34; - 1 Peter 2:8;

The other question which arises from this is = "Did Jesus [Holy Spirit] preach to all the dead or only those who were killed in the flood" ?

Strange that Jesus should refine this to a few ?

Of course with every answered  question we bring forth more questions   :D

Interesting that is . I like it . I wonder how the answer can be found. Probably by lots of researching studying and asking God for the answers.

I don't want to confuse things up but for some reason I was thinking about Ezekiel37 the valley of dry bones.  This is about restoration, towards a people who were once considered rebellious.Ezekiel 37:23

Does that mean the very individuals  who rebelled will be raised up with a new start?
Or are they different people altogether represented by their clan. Not based on individuals if you know what I mean.

This is God fulfilling His promise to Israel.

Yes that's the uniting of Judah and Israel to become one nation serving One King - be it, King David but he being representative of Jesus the One true God....

I had the valley of dry bones and Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem

Maybe both "groups" being representative of those  "chosen"

Did Christ go to Hell ?

The answer is, No He did not, as is made clear in the verse below.

Jhn 19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Everything that Jesus had to do to save us was, "finished", before He died, the following verses are sometimes used to teach that Jesus went to Hell after His death.

1Pe 3:18   For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us[fn5] to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
1Pe 3:19   by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,
1Pe 3:20   who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited[fn6] in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

All this passage is telling us is that it was the Holy Spirit speaking through Noah, while the ark was being prepared, that preached to people alive at that time, who did not repent, and whose spirits are now in prison

Jesus said,  "into Your hands I commit My spirit ", Note:   Not, "into hell", but,  "into Your hands".

Luk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.' " Having said this, He breathed His last.

Also,  "You will not abandon my soul to Sheol".  Notice it is "to hell", not, "in hell"  In other words, "I won't be going there"

NASB - Psa 16:10 - For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

RSV - Psa 16:10 - For thou dost not give me up to Sheol, or let thy godly one see the Pit.

ASV - Psa 16:10 - For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption

ESV - Psa 16:10 - For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.*

Footnote:
* Or see the pit

ESV - Act 2:27 - ??For you will not abandon my soul to Hades,
or let your Holy One see corruption.

NASB - Act 2:27 - BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ABANDON MY SOUL TO HADES, NOR ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY.

RSV - Act 2:27 - For thou wilt not abandon my soul to Hades, nor let thy Holy One see corruption.

Every blessing.

Edwin.
