Its an interesting thought that the Church are those who are "born again" whether in the OT or NT..

Thus those "who are the Church" are in the OT and the NT..

So why are we presented with "pentecost" ?

That's the OT version isn't it ?

And we see this as a symbol of the "Holy Spirit" [Water]

However the same Person who saves also destroys here ?

Paradox ?

Or is it bound by the peoples decisions ?

Matthew 18:18; "Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Hence we are the holders of our own destiny !

Or is it God ?

No here we see that we are

Well maybe this is why we meant to 'let things go' or forgive.  We can be our own worst enemy at times.

Imagine the OT prophets being part of the same 'church' that you are a part of, rather than churches just being invented after Jesus died.

Nite nite  :bedtime2:

A vfew more meditatiions..........

God in the OT tabernacled with His chosen people...................

Here we see tents  -notice Pauls description of our bodies being temporal tents..... he being a tent maker..

Here God indwells the tents of His people "hence the word...tabernacle...[His shekina glory] Exodus 34:35 they saw that his face was radiant

And parallel scripture [paraclete/Holy Spirit] - 2 Corinthians 3:13; We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. . This glory [shekina does not fade] .[New Testament/covenant]

And see : divine healing Mark 8:25
Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

God dwells within these frail tents

2 Corinthians 3:7
Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was,

Exodus 29:45  Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God

Holy Spirit of God...dwells among tents...

Numbers 24:2  When Balaam looked out and saw Israel encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came on him

the Ark of the Testimony  is the indwelling/presence of God and testimony of ...

So could God have indwelt those providing a house in the NT ?

Can God only be defined as working outside of a group ? "Church" a multitude of people as numerous as the stars and sand on the shore...

Is "Born again" only defined as outside of this ?

Cannot God dwell within a group called the Church working through people or is the Church only built by God without man ?

If this is so we have to delete Paul and the disciples as the early building and apostles and only see God as the builder without man.

If this is so we have to erase man from "God's Word" and God's indwelling.

Thus the ladder can only be built by Godnand earth does not touch heaven - but only heaven touches earth.erasing Jacob and His vision

So here we are erasing Jacob and his vision and his wrestling - as this is not really significant and the building is of God and not of Jacobs response.

Otherwise it would be Jacob building and God would not need to indwell a person such as this to do His work...
Howver if God does need to indwell to do His work we now have "The Church"

THE God of Abraham, Jacob and Isaac.. One in three persons indwelling and tabernacling in His people - fourth person/Bride

This may be called "Church" doctrine - but it is "the biblical ladder and the basis" eg: "the relationship between God and man" and not just God, as mankind /man and woman -  has to be involved.

Hence my experience of God is me and God - and the shekina and tabernacling of God within this frail tent [Church] -[Note] is being made spotless. this however does not exclude man from God - but makes him/her the Bride/Church...thus God looks at us and see;'s Jesus - the Church/Cornerstone/body/tent/.regardless of our experiences
