By faith and conviction of the Holy Spirit, let alone life experience...which isn't really something you can scientifically authenticate...

I read about healings at Lourdes, the crutches hanging up etc...then I went there....during my time there, I volunteered with a group of friends from school, to push around the sick and dying....the guy we got had a walking stick, struggled to walk...his wife had epilepsy and had a fit and fell into a fire and died...and yet here he was looking for healing, still had faith....

I saw firsthand the testimony of people healed, and there was a spiritual conviction in that at the same time...I have always been spiritually in tune that way...I just KNOW when its right, at the right time and place.  Just the way its always been, even if I have tried to ignore it.

This is not to debate the rights and wrongs of Lourdes as people see it, its to demonstrate this mans faith.  Which was testified and confirmed by the Holy Spirit..for me.

Scentifically proven facts there's a topic for faith. first why does science work, or anything for that matter? Is there an underlying reason why things works. Is it acceptable to say 'it works'

The Christian answer is that God created the universe, time and space. He maintains it and his character can be seen it creation .i.e. God is consistent, and reasonable.
The atheist who believes, without any scientific evidence, that the universe just came into being is believing with a fantastic faith. ditto the evolutionist who believes live just appeared, that in some unexplained, unknown manner it changes from one creature to another, again without any evidence that it has happened.

then there are other religeons, why do people believe in them?
