Those who are in heaven are there because they want to be. They have like us experienced the effects of sin and unlike us they have experienced the goodness of God. As they can compare these two state why should they willingly choose he state that will ban them from Gods prescence.
an example for you, you've been invited to a family party everyone is there. There is good food, things to drink, nice surroundings etc etc but you have another invite, to join a party under a bridge with a group of old friends. They're going to get drunk do drugs and end up in a pool of vomit. tell me which party do you go to.

If we are still enjoying sin while we are here, how likely are we enter in or even see a heaven where there is no sin?

What will stop it is the same thing that stopped it in Jesus. Are we not supposed to be "like him"?

See that leads me to a question.....how are you supposed to be 'like Jesus', who is the ONLY one perfect...if we are all imperfect, how can you ever obtain perfection before physical death?

What the Bible describes as perfect is not what man usually describes as perfect. The Bible speaks of a 'perfect heart' toward God, which is not in itself referring to sinlessness although if followed it could lead to that. Did Jesus lie to us? Did he ask to do things that he knew were impossible for us under any circumstances?

Consider David's word to his son:

"And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever" I Chron 28:9

Consider this conversation between Jesus and his disciples:

"When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matt 19:25-26

Is God in us , can God be in us, to perform that which is impossible for us?

Does the following verse speak of God being in man?

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Col 1:27

In our flesh alone by ourselves alone it is impossible to be saved, but it is not impossible because we do not have to be alone. If our faith is in our flesh alone, then it is an impossible faith. It must not be. We must ask for help and it has been promised:

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matt 7:7
