Can an Alien life form be saved ?

Can an Alien life form be saved ? - referring to "Jesus dying for?  life on other planets ?

For an alien life form to be saved [ born again] it /he/ she...must be firstly made in the image of God. Although a "thing" might look human it does not mean that "it is made in the image of God"

An ape for example is in our likeness as per "image" and "likeness" and has feelings and emotions, however an ape in no way represents the "Glory of God" or?  being made in the Likeness of God (Hebrews 1:3) For Jesus said "if you have seen Me you have seen the Father" ( John 14:9)

This Glory of Christ is a vessel or face of the Father?  in the same way as the "Light of the Gospel"?  reflects a part of the Glory?  of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4) the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

(Genesis 5:1) And so Adam and Eve were made in the image of God both male and female (Genesis 1:27) noting that this representation of God has nothing to do with Gender?  (Mark 10:6)

Note also that once the fall had taken place Eve was now subject to her husband as in?  (1 Corinthians 11:7) and this was not the case before as Eve was the "half of Adam". So this "image" of God is the "reflection of Gods Glory" once placed upon Adam and Eve before the fall

In this we could say that"we are new creations " because we now display and replicate Jesus?  whom is in us" [in theory] (Colossians 1:15). Although God is Spirit and does not dwell in "Temples" made by man (Matthew 18:20)?  no one can?  build Him a place to live (2 Chronicles 2:6)

So "Image" here not to do with "looking like Jesus " for Jesus was despised and rejected and a man of sorrows", and in this respect we would have to say that in order to replicate or represent Jesus we would have to be pitied above all men and be "those rejected and living the same life as He".

If "Image" were about being human and having hands, eyes, feet, head - then "Yes" we may as well say that all are made in Gods image whether animal or alien

The "Glory " here cannot be seen as "simply doing as or looking as or the same shape as?  (John 1:1) ,this "Image" of God is more to do with having the "attributes" of God [our attributes only go so far and cannot be aligned alongside Gods] But we can say "we attribute our?  Justice, Longsuffering, Love, Mercy, Goodness, Holiness and?  righteousness" - to mention but a few - ?  to God

So as God loves we can love, as God hates we can hate, as God has compassion so too we can have compassion. As God is merciful and full of?  grace, so we can be merciful and full of Grace towards others. As God has?  fellowship in heaven and likes fellowship with us, so too we are or can be part of a fellowship

As God is a friend of sinners too we can be friends of sinners, and his "image" or "likeness" has limitations as we are not Jesus and neither are we God. But it simply implies that we have the same "Attributes". As "born again believers" by learning more about God by studying His word and growing in relationship with Him at the same time we in fact take more and more of His character into us, so in this we can attribute it to God and other people?  can be directed to God through us

This is the transforming of our minds and the becoming like Jesus who is God and being and being restored back to the "image and likeness" of it was meant to be 'In The Beginning" . And so "animals " cannot be said to be created in the "image of God" as they cannot represent God and take on His characteristics by the reading and relational aspect of the "faithwalk"

Animals or alien life?  cannot become more and more "Godlike" although they may have characteristics and attributes that imitate a human. To have a life form on another planet "saved"? would have to have been firstly created in its "Makers Image". To have fallen and to have been redeemed and then to be participating in the onward transformation and journey of "being made new" and reconciliation which continues and be a part of the ongoing walk

Also any animal or alien [life form] from another world would either be too primitive to understand or too advanced?  to to be beyond a gospel of faith which slices through intellect and knowledge, we would have to conclude also that Jesus would have to have died and risen [outside of our time] to encompass any other life form?  at any other time in the entire history of the universe. They being saved not through knowledge or lack of and having not known or seen or heard, but simply through the Holy Spirit. Hard to imagine or to contemplate, therefore we conclude its a "faithQ"

Is there alien life out there?
We literally have no evidence that there is life on other planets. The bible is silent on that subject.
If there is alien life it would be intelligent, simple because why would God pt plants and animals on a planet and not also place sentient life. C.S. Lewes speculated in his scfi triology that life on other planets while effected by the fall had not fallen itself and still worshipped God.
I think that if there is life out there and we make contact we could be in for a surprise, finding a race that thinks  atheism is not normal. Image how Dawkins would deal with that?  :)

Yes and I wonder if the same would be replicated on other planets eg: the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge ?, or whether it would be simply preordained - without the garden of eden ?, hard to imagine a garden on some planets

A comment on calculations made by Hugh Ross on the chances there is alien life 'out there'.

assuming there are 10 billion trillion planets in the visible universe, he concludes that the probability of finding a single planet that could support unicellular life for a prolonged period of time is 1 in 10556, (see Part B of this document). If this informed estimate is even close to being correct, then there are no other planets in the visible universe that can support life.

link to the comment

The actual figures.
Probability for occurrence of all 676 parameters ≈ 10-578
Maximum possible number of life support bodies in observable universe ≈ 1022
Thus, less than 1 chance in 10556 exists that even one such life-support body would occur anywhere in the
universe without invoking divine miracles.

link to the calculation, bewarned its part B in 75 pages of figures.

Is the Bible the Word of God? If it is, then there are no aliens from another planet. This then answers the question.
If the Bible is not the Word of God, then anything is plausible. We can't go round trying to fit things into the Bible that are not there. Evolutionists try that ploy!

Now clearly, there are things we see that are unexplained. If Gods Word is true, then these can only come from these sources:
Man (Likely to be over 90% of sightings are man made).
Demons (Demonic angels).
Possibly animals or natural things from our own planet.

Totally agree MG, but unfortunately so many Christians don't believe the bible, or don't know it.

The verse said alienated, which means estranged, far from, hostile to.

As we are made in the image of God we are not alien, as in totaly different.
