Find and Prosecute Whoever Slashed Dog, Left to Die

Please sign, share and spread the word everywhere on social media in order to find and severely prosecute person who slashed a dog's neck and other bodily areas, leaving it to die from its wounds. Spartacus is a sweet, loving animal that just let this person do this to him instead of running away! It may have even been someone he knew and loved. Dogs are so loyal but this should never have happened.
Spartacus is a sweet two year old dog that was found by a good Samaritan found and saved him. He was near death at the time from loss of blood. When brought to the rescue center, officials stated that he was so happy and docile despite his injuries. Officials surmise that he just sat there, letting this evil person slice him up and hit him with a shovel. What a sweet dog enduring such suffering. The official continued "Whoever this person is, and I can’t even use that word, this animal, I think, he tried to cut his throat off."
It took surgeons at the Pet Care Center two hours and 1,000 stitches to save 2-year-old Spartacus on. He had slashes on his neck, face and torso, and the gash on his neck led surgeons to believe someone was trying to decapitate him. After medical care, the poor pup was placed with a foster family while he recovers, and he's not up for adoption. Even after enduring such an ordeal, Spartacus is wagging his tail and trusts his handlers. Some people do not deserve such loyalty!!
Let's ban together as a community nationwide, spread the news and photo of Spartacus so we can find the culprit and place him where he belongs for a very long time, never to be allowed encountering, caring for or ever owning another dog for eternity.

Los Angeles Police Department - Please continue your investigation regarding the cruel slashing and brutality of Spartacus the two year old Pitbull until you finally nab the person responsible for his abusive treatment, all while he probably stood there wagging his happy tail. While getting the community involved, someone should be able to come forth with tips and clues that could lead to an arrest. Sgt. Tami Baumman stated that "I have 21 years with the police department and I've never seen a dog that cut up before by somebody." Don't stop until you nab this person, throw 'em in jail for a long time, demand some fines and/or community service and ban the person from ever coming within inches of another animal for eternity.

Take Action to Help End Ebola

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa has claimed more than 4,500 lives, and the number of cases grows every day. The World Health Organization is warning that, without urgent action in the coming months, the region could see up to 10,000 new cases of Ebola each week.

Our window to stop the Ebola outbreak from spiraling further out of control is closing fast — action is needed now.

The United Nations has a roadmap to stop the spread of Ebola. If G20 countries can commit and deploy the money, troops, and medics needed by the time they meet on November 15, we'll be on track to start seeing the number of new cases decline by December.

Add your name below and tell the G20 countries: Step up your commitments and help #EndEbola, before it's too late.

UK - Protect Porpoises as Outlined in EU's Conservation Laws & Stop Their Demise

Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to get the UK to abide with the Laws of the EU Conservationists Organizations.  In breaking these laws, dead porpoises are washing ashore because of irresponsible fishing practices.  Britain needs to stop being lax in their fishing practices and other issues involving the safety of the porpoises or they will be legally cited by the European Court System.

It has come to the attention of the European Conservation that the UK is breaking several laws regarding the safety and preservation of the porpoises.  The harbor porpoises is the most common, smallest and threatened species in the North Sea and UK waters.   They are very similar in stature to the bottlenose dolphin. They are not currently on the endangered species list but their numbers are declining swiftly due to human activities such as fisheries bycatch, starvation, underwater noise and injuries from boats.

The European Commission has recently sent a warning letter to the UK, saying that a failure to apply the Habitats Directive to the cetaceans now could “seriously compromise their ecological character.” “Despite a large number of harbor porpoise in its waters, the UK has so far proposed only one small site in Northern Ireland [as a protected area], exposing some of the identified sites to the risk of offshore wind farm development,” a statement says.

It is not known for sure why the UK is not doing all it can to save the porpoises throughout all their waters, despite being repeatedly urged the commission to fulfill its key obligations for the species.  Important porpoise habitats in various UK waters need to be protected.  Where high densities of porpoises and other mobile species can be found, marine protected areas (MPAs) are required. MPAs can help to provide certainty to marine users, enable implementation of local management measures, as well as promoting conservation research and education, and so can aid protection of an often forgotten, coastal species. The UK has given two months to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from the Aberthaw power plant in Wales, while Portugal was given a court referral for inadequate waste water treatment, with a request for a €4.5m (£3.5m) lump sum fine and daily €20,000 penalty until the country complies with EU laws.

A Conservationist spokesperson stated “We are committed to protecting the harbor porpoise. The species benefits from a protected area at Skerries and Causeway, and we are working to identify further potential sites for increased protection.  “We are considering the Reasoned Opinion from the European Commission and will respond in due course.” We need to encourage the UK to abide by the EU Conservation laws that will protect the porpoises. Inflict Harshest Punishment for Man Found with 200 Dead Dogs: Ban Him From Future Pets!!!

Please sign and share this petition everywhere in an effort to get this horrible man fully accountable for the 200 dead dogs that have been found on his property. He needs to be punished with the harshest penalty allowed by law and never allow him to ever own another animal the rest of his abusive life!!
In Goose Creek, SC, the remains of 200 dogs were found on the property of Loney Garrett, along with forty-five others that were rescued. Of all the dogs removed from this guy’s home area, only two of them were able to find new, loving homes. One of the new owners stated that "It was hard to hear about the case but then when I actually had one of the dogs it hit home a little harder and it is heartbreaking."
Buddy was one of the rescued dogs whose new mom said "He was rescued and was severely underweight, he had an issue with his eye and his eye had to be removed, he doesn't seem to mind." This now happy dog was one of many dogs found in ill health on Mr. Garrett’s property, charged with several counts of felony animal cruelty. However, this monster is walking around after posting bond and who knows when he will go to trial!!!
These types of cases seem to take forever to go to trial and often times people guilty of animal abuse and cruelty only face misdemeanor charges that comes with minimal fines and jail time. What a horrifying case with more than 200 dogs lives affected by this abuser. He deserves the harshest punishment, jail time and stiff fines for all the counts of abuse and cruelty to all these animals, and never be allowed to own or be near another animal as long as he lives!!! Please sign and share this petition everywhere in an effort to get this horrible man fully accountable for the 200 dead dogs that have been found on his property and never be allowed to own another animal ever!!

Daily Voice : Protect Wildlife from Hunting Abuse

Protect Wildlife from Hunting Abuse

This November, there are alarming new amendments proposed in Alabama and Mississippi that could make hunting a constitutionally protected right! The states would join 17 other states that have hunting listed under constitutional protection.
With hunting a constitutional right, imagine the difficulty we would face to pass progressive reform to fight wildlife abuse.
Already in Maine it's been a struggle to fend off hunters and trappers from abusing their hunting rights. They are using dog packs to run bears up into trees, where they can easily shoot them down. It's an extremely abusive practice, yet hunting protections make this completely legal!
This also means that hunting is the "preferred" means of wildlife population control. Amendments in both Alabama and Mississippi proposed for the November ballot would legally make hunting the official "preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife".
With the NRA in strong support of any such amendment, the campaign to add hunting as a constitutional right is well-funded and rampant with special-interest lobbyists. That's why we need to take action together to ensure that these amendment do not pass come November! You can start by ensuring that your state protects its wildlife and keeps the right to hunt off your state constitution.
Sign the petition today to let your state legislature know that you oppose hunting rights for your state constitution. Together, we can protect animals from hunting abuse!

Find & Charge Person in Dog Hanging in Alaska

Please sign and share this petition in an effort to help the Anchorage, Alaska Police Department to find and prosecute the person responsible for hanging a sweet and gentle dog from a tree deep in the woods. Someone must have seen, heard or knows something that can provide leads in an arrest of this abusive individual.
A man was walking through a wooded area near 20th and Rosemary in Anchorage, Alaska when he spotted a Pitbull dog carcass hanging from a tree with its throat slashed. The animal apparently has been there for a while and did have a microchip in its ear to locate the owners of the dog, found to be named Snoop. When questioned, the owners who live in a nearby in a Penland Mobil Home Park stated they thought that Snoop had simply run away about a week ago. What baffles me is, did they not frantically try and search for the animal, report the situation and desperately get help in finding who they claim was just like a family member?
Police and animal control officers are asking for anyone's help in finding out who did this horrendous act of cruelty to Snoop. Someone must have seen, heard or knows of any tips that can help in locating this animal abuse individual. Any tips and information about the case can be shared anonymously if you just call Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or submit a tip online. Let's find justice for Snoop!!

Keep Funding Important Research that Helps and Saves the Guillemot Sea Birds

Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to ask the UK & Wales not to shut down the all important research and its funding executed by Professor Tim Birkhead; work he has been doing for the health and well-being of the Guillemot sear birds for more than 42 years. His work proved very successful for the welfare of these and other birds throughout the British Isles. Don't let these countries suddenly stop funding his research and crucial work in saving these Guillemot Sea Birds.
Professor Tim Birkhead, a 64-year-old professor of zoology at Sheffield University, has been monitoring guillemots for 42 years with intriguing results. His research has provided key information about the wellbeing of the sea birds’ population around the British Isles and has also produced important insights into the health of our seas. Now his crucial work is threatened with closure due to funding from the Natural Resources Wales Department.
Professor Birkhead states that “We have built an extremely important database of guillemot population parameters and breeding rates, which tells a great deal about variations in numbers of these birds, about the health of their populations and about the health of our seas in general. But that entire database is now under threat merely to save a modest amount of money.”He adds that since his research began so many years ago, these birds are now mating an average of 2-1/2 weeks earlier than usual. “That is a clear signal that climate change is having a direct impact on the behavior of these sea birds. It was a ridiculously ambitious task, I realized later. Guillemots do not start breeding until they are seven years old, so you cannot hope to get an accurate picture of their reproductive success until you have amassed many years of data. That is why I decided to maintain the survey every year since then and so have been involved in studying guillemots for all these decades." Now his efforts will be tossed aside while the birds and the oceans are in peril.
“These birds are excellent indicators of the health of the ocean. I have had a very good response to that appeal, but it is a shame that research of such importance has to be funded in this hand-to-mouth manner,” Professor Birkhead states further. Let's help him continue his crucial work for the environment, the birds and the healthy oceans. Feeding the homeless is not a crime! Demand Fort Lauderdale drop charges against homeless advocates

On October 31, the city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed an ordinance to make it a crime to feed the homeless. On November 2, they arrested Arnold Abbott, a 90 year old man who has been an advocate of the homeless for the past 20 years. He and two Christian ministers, Dwayne Black of The Sanctuary Church and Mark Sims of St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, now face 60 days of jail time and $500 in fines.
Tell the city of Fort Lauderdale that feeding the homeless is not a crime! If anything, the city should be actively supporting groups and individuals who conduct outreach programs to help the homeless. Advocates such as Arnold Abbott, Dwayne Black and Mark Sims are among a group of brave and caring individuals who reach out to help others in need. Make sure that these everyday heroes, and the people they help, are not criminalized for their efforts!
