We want the Immediate Firing of Debi Shuker of San Bernardino City Shelter in CA for the abuse

We want the immediate firing of Debi Shuker of San Bernardino City Shelter in Ca. She has shown numerous, blatant disregard for the animals in her care.

There was no vet care and retaliatory killing of 11 innocent  animals yesterday when everyone contacted the Mayor in regards to a sick dog that languished for days without vet care when she promised a vet would see the dog... Another little dog Inky Bink is dead thanks to her.. Little Chi sat with bones exposed for 10 days without medical care and now has died . Yesterday Debi did a mass killing of 11 innocent dogs in retaliation for us calling the Mayor over Sue a very  sick dog...

Maria Sanchez was cradling  Sue in her arms and  asked Debi about her promising that this dog would see the vet Debi immediately called the cops and had them escort Maria out..  Another volunteer was taking pictures of the animals to be networked and was accused of giving them dog biscuits and Debi called the police on her...

This shelter has numerous complaints against them for neglect, abuse  and killing animals before their due date. Some animals are given one day only. This shelter does not even adhere to Hayden's law...There is even a lawsuit pending against them and yet the directors and everyone involved turns a blind eye!!!..

Well, San Bernardino, California, the world is watching and we are not happy at all what you are doing in this shelter!!!

Daily Voice : Protect Penguins from the Effects of Climate Change

Protect Penguins from the Effects of Climate Change

Penguins from Antarctica to Africa are suffering as a result of climate change.

Changing temperatures affect everything from the birds' habitats to their food supply. In their habitat of far north Antarctica, extremely warm air temperatures are causing the sea ice that Adélie penguins rely upon to melt, forcing them to move farther South.

African penguins live on rocky islands offshore of the South-western coast of Africa, and they are currently endangered. Their biggest threats are all man-made: oil pollution, habitat degradation and food availability issues that are all likely a result of climate change.

Emperor penguins are the largest (and probably best known) penguins alive today, and the only penguin species that breeds during the harsh Antarctic winter. Climate change is melting the sea ice which many colonies of emperor penguins rely on for breeding, threatening future populations.

The EPA has proposed a landmark standard for climate pollution from new power plants. This standard will help end dirty energy as we know it and keep penguins safe from the effects of climate change.

Tell the EPA you support its proposal to help curb pollution and protect penguins from the effects of climate change!

Daily Voice : Protect Orcas From Deadly Navy Sonar

Protect Orcas From Deadly Navy Sonar

The Navy's practice exercises and sonar are wreaking havoc on highly intelligent and social endangered orcas, dolphins and other marine mammals that depend on sound to communicate, find food and raise their young.

Sonar risks putting a stop to all that life-sustaining activity: It's nearly as loud as an explosive, and it can cause hearing loss and even death.

The harms of Navy sonar use are well documented, implicated in the mass strandings of marine mammals from Southern California to the Bahamas and as far as the Canary Islands off the coast of Morocco.

In 2004 Naval sonar use stranded as many as 200 melon-headed whales in Hanalei Bay, near Hawaii. Now the Pacific Northwest is about to get more Navy war games off its coast if we don't act fast.

There are only about 80 orcas left off the coast of Washington, Oregon and California -- so protection for each of them is vital.

Please take action and urge the Navy to train in a way that doesn't tear the fragile fabric of our oceans' web of life.

Amur leopards are teetering on the brink of extinction

The Amur Leopard once roamed all of Eastern Asia, but today it is extinct in China and the Korean Peninsula. Illegal poaching for their hides and rapid human development in their native habitat have driven this great cat to the brink of extinction . Unfortunately the wild Amur Leopard population has become dangerously low. the estimates say that between 1970 and 1983 close to 80% of the population was lost. the leopards are classified as "critically Endangered" the only levels of classification worse then Critical are extinct in the wild . currently there are only about 35 known Amur leopard left in the wild .

I hope this greed of peoples will stop and appreciate the animal's life and what they mean for the planet and how they so important for us , and they have soul too can feel pain , they same as us but without voice to raise it .

Daily Voice : Protect Girls; End Child Marriage
« Reply #285 on: April 16, 2014, 01:00:14 AM »
Protect Girls; End Child Marriage

In developing countries, 1 in 3 girls is married by the time she turns 18. That's one girl every 3 minutes.

For girls, child marriage means the end of education, the beginning of motherhood, and a lifetime of poverty. The daughters of a child bride will be more likely to drop out of school and marry young as well, so the cycle begins again.

The best way to stop the cycle and end child marriage is to keep girls in school.

It's proven that girls who complete their education are less likely to be married before age 18 than girls who are not in school. When a girl is educated, she will marry later, have fewer and healthier children, and earn a higher income. That's why it's more important than ever that we bring attention to this vital issue.

Take action today: Add your name and help us spread the word about the importance of ending child marriage and keeping girls around the world in school!

Congress: Don't Let Human Trafficking in the US Go Ignored!

All too often it's easy to pretend sex trafficking and sexual exploitation only happen in other countries. It can be hard to imaging children being bought, sold and used by pimps in our own communities. But the harrowing truth is that human trafficking is happening in our in our own neighborhoods and communities every day. In fact, nearly 20 thousand people are trafficked in the United States each year.

What people often don't realize is that homelessness - especially youth homelessness - is one of the major causes behind human trafficking. And here in the US we have a serious youth homelessness problem.

Across our communities too many children don't know where they will sleep on any given night, with youth shelters in short supply and often terribly underfunded. When a child doesn't have a roof over her head or any stability in her life, she becomes and easy target for pimps and traffickers.

We cannot let the issue of youth homelessness and trafficking stay under the radar in our country. any longer. Join us in calling on our representatives today to make ending youth homelessness and trafficking in our communities a top priority!

Daily Voice : Outlaw the Gas Chamber for Shelter Dogs and Cats!
« Reply #287 on: April 18, 2014, 01:00:14 AM »
Outlaw the Gas Chamber for Shelter Dogs and Cats!

If an animal has to be euthanized in a shelter, it should be done in the most humane way possible. And trapping dogs and cats who can't find homes in tiny gas chambers and letting them suffocate to death is certainly not the solution.

Euthanasia via gas chamber is still legal in 30 states, despite its clear cruelty to animals. When dogs and cats are shoved into the hot, tiny boxes, they have no idea what's going on. All they can hear is the hiss of the gas; all they can see is darkness. They panic. If they're shoved in the chamber with other animals, they frequently attack them out of fear.

As they slowly suffocate, their minds growing dark, it can take them up to 30 minutes to die, in pain and terror.

This barbaric, outdated practice needs to be outlawed immediately. Sign the petition to ban the use of gas chambers for euthanasia in all 50 states.
