quote abandon the idea of Arctic drilling completely and declare the Arctic 'off limits' to industrial exploitation, forever. quote

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

Daily Voice : Stand Up to Big Oil!

Stand Up to Big Oil!

If we could dramatically reduce air pollution and help the environment for an extra penny per gallon of gas, wouldn't it be worth it?

A Clean Car plan is on the table to do just that. Cleaning up our gasoline and reducing tailpipe emissions would equal taking 33 million cars off our roads. This smart plan is backed by nearly everyone, including the auto industry that will make some minor changes to new vehicles to help clean up our air.

But Big Oil is digging in. They don't want to make changes in their refineries, and they want you to live with the consequences - tens of thousands of more respiratory problems in kids and adults.

Sign now if you think this Clean Car plan makes sense. The more public support we can show, the better chance we have at stopping Big Oil's attempt to delay or weaken it in Congress!

Daily Voice : Don't Ban Cameras from Farms and Factories

Don't Ban Cameras from Farms and Factories

Thanks to the efforts of animal activists, we know now just how badly animals are suffering at many farms. By capturing the squalid conditions on camera, activists have effectively exposed the horrible living conditions many livestock endure in the US.  But instead of cracking down on big agriculture, the government brought an illogical proposal to the table: outlawing cameras from the workplace, including at family farms.

These videos often show animals who are forced to undergo huge amounts of stress and pain before heading to the slaughterhouse. Banning cameras is not the solution to this inhumane treatment.  If anything, a lack of transparency will only make things worse.

This so-called “Ag Gag” legislation makes it impossible to obtain evidence that could be used to stop the cruelty once and for all.

Tell state legislators they should be working to eradicate animal abuse in the farming industry, not the other way around!

Daily Voice : Prevent Surgical Animal Mutilation

Prevent Surgical Animal Mutilation

In what has been hailed as a meaningless and cruel experiment, the University of New South Wales undertook the surgical mutilation of eight baboons in order to study their healing.

The outcome of this erroneous science project took the lives of all eight baboons, and has reawakened the campaign to remove mammals from experimental laboratories. With seven million animals used annually for experimentation in Australia, the largely self-regulated system must be redesigned immediately.

We need uniform, national guidelines to prevent more pointless animal maiming and death. Some sanctions have already been developed country-wide, but they have been left to the individual states for interpretation. More often than not, enforcement falls through the cracks.

Write to the Australian government and help ban animal experimentation.

Obama: Back Off Plan B Access

The Department of Justice is manipulating science and history in order to keep all women from getting access to emergency contraception.

Two years ago, the Food and Drug Administration approved over-the-counter sale of Plan B One-Step, a common form of emergency contraception, to all women. But, flying in the face of the administration's promise to make science-based decisions, the Department of Health and Human Services ignored the FDA finding and limited over-the-counter sales to women 17 and older.

A federal judge issued a scathing opinion last month determining that Plan B should be available over-the-counter to all women and without a federal ID. Now, the Department of Justice is appealing the decision and claims the court is interfering with the FDA drug approval process. Too bad it's their own administration that's steamrolling independent science.

Tell the Obama administration to live up to its promises to scientists and women and stop blocking women's access to emergency contraception.

Daily Voice : Stop the Brutal Slaughter of Dolphins in Japan!

Stop the Brutal Slaughter of Dolphins in Japan!

We have obtained shocking footage of the dolphin hunts in Taiji, Japan. The film you will see here shows a brutal method used to kill dolphins. Independent experts have confirmed it is a long, slow death and doesn’t meet even the lowest standards applied to slaughterhouses.

The hunters want to keep their actions secret. They pull a curtain across the cove and after ramming a metal rod into the dolphin’s head, they plug the wound with a piece of wood to stop the blood flowing out into the water. Hundreds of dolphins die every year in these hunts from trauma and blood loss.

Those not killed are sold for large amounts of money and flown to marine parks – this profit finances the slaughter. Japan Airlines and Air China have transported these dolphins in recent years.

Help us stop the killing - watch and share our video and sign our petition.

Tell Japan Airlines and Air China to stop transporting dolphins.

Fight for Access to Basic Health Care for the World's Youngest Children

Across the globe, there is a critical shortage of at least 3.5 million doctors, nurses, midwives and community health workers. This means more than 40 million of the world's youngest children don't have access to a doctor, or even basic health care.

Last financial year the Australian Government committed less than 15% of our aid budget to health programs. If we want to save the lives of millions of children and their mothers, our Government must commit more of the federal aid budget to health workers.

Before this year’s federal aid budget is allocated, urge the government to increase its commitment to health workers for millions of children around the world. Write to your MP and tell them not to forget the world’s most vulnerable children who don’t have access to health care. Your actions can help prevent the needless deaths of these children. Act now and contact your MP.

Do they use pesticides there Amadeus ?

they blame the Myxomatosis virus for killing off the wild rabbits in england over 50 years ago and pesticides and overfarming

I really don't know, but I like rabbits. Perhaps if I had a garden and it was necessary to feed my family my attitude would be different.
