In the temptations that happened throughout the life of Jesus  I wonder whether Jesus was unable to sin because He was God or whether "like us...being fully human" He was able to sin but choose not too ?

Jesus was both 'Son of God' as well as being 'Son of Man'.
As 'Son of Man' he was "tempted in all ways like as we are" and I believe that to be true in the fullest sense in respect of the power and effects of temptation.
IOW he was indeed able to sin ...... except for one important difference between himself and us.
And that difference was his also being 'Son of God'.
He choose not to sin because he came for a purpose that would have been negated had he not made and kept to his choice to fulfill that purpose.
In Gethsemene we see the enormous love that lead him to keep to that most unimaginably difficult resolve.

So if he had sinned, would he have still been the son of God? I don`t think so.
Therefore I don`t think he could have sinned, because he was God, is God, and will always be God.
Ask yourself this question. Can light produce darkness? I think the obvious answer to that question is no, of course not.
And so what does the bible say about Jesus "This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all" 1 John 1:5. So if we can say that Jesus, as the "Son of God" is also God, then it would of been impossible for him to sin; for as I stated, light does not produce darkness, and that is backed up by scripture.
This however does not mean that he didn`t experienced temptation as a man, but as God he could not of sinned. And remember, when Satan was tempting him, he wasn`t quite sure about who Jesus was "And the tempter came and said to him, ?If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread." Mt 4:3-4 And again "Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple 6and said to him, ?If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, "he will command his angels concerning you" Mt 4:5-7. So in my opinion, Satan wasn`t quite sure about who Jesus was, and therefore didn`t know he was wasting his time in tempting him. So there is no way in heaven or earth that Jesus could have sinned, for his "Will" is goodness eternal, and being eternal, that cannot change, even if God becomes man.

Yeah so Jesus was led into the wilderness (by Himself) being God but ~  as a Son of man being fully human

He was led into the temptations (being that all His life was full of trials and temptations) but being led into the wilderness by God "Holy Spirit" He was tempted there by satan

And satan said "IF You are the Son of God"

Its like being led into a trial to be judged and tested by Yourself !

Like ...why are we tried and tested whne God knows us inside out ! how can we be held accountable

So anyway satan led Him who knew no sin to be sin for us on a tree...not realising that by doing this God would free humanity from his grip

So although He was tempted He never sinned, yet became sin for us

Kind of took our place and wore our coat

We are tried and tested that WE may know ourselves inside out, in HE who made us. For God desires that all come to know him, and that all may come to know "themselves" through him. For after all, we are made in his image an likeness. What is the saying? "KNOW THYSELF" So through testing we come to know ourselves, and God at the same time. So it`s for our education, not his.

I like that , I might do a bit of searching on that one

Jeremiah 17:9  Deuteronomy 8:2  Romans 12:3

Quote
And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, [and] to prove thee, to know what [was] in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or not

If Jesus had sinned, we would not have a saviour and would be answerable to god for our sins.
Could Jesus have sinned? If he was fully man then the answer has to be yes, we know that he didn't sin, whether this was because he was also God or because he was obedient in everything to dod the Father I let you argue about.
