You asked what my post meant what I was trying to point out was there is a physical  time frame and a spiritual time frame in the physical a day is 24 hours in the spiritual day its a 1000 years as St Peter tells us.

I still don't see what that has to do with this topic.  The Messiah said that He would be in the "heart of the earth" for three days and three nights".   Why that specific length of time?  Was there something meaningful about it?

Hi rstrats
Thank you for your post maybe Christ was in the heart of the earth for the same reason Jonah was who was in the fish because he tried to run away from God and it seams reasonable to believe that he died in the fish but God brought him back to life to preach the word of God.
So we know Christ asked the Father if he could slip the crucifixion but he could not so he died like Jonah and was resurrected to preach the word of God which he did through his apostles.

For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

And again, I still don't see what your comments have to do with this topic.

Hi rstrats
Thank you for your post I don't  think you want to see it dose not matter  what anyone says you will find fault all you want is a jolly good argument I don't think arguing about Gods word serves any good purpose so I will hope out of this thread.

Love and Peace

...I don't think you want to see it dose not matter...

That would be an issue for a different topic.

I was merely asking a question.

Hi rstrats
How long Christ was in the tomb is irrelevant what is relevant is he was resurrected to life and sits with God in heaven awaiting his return.

How long Christ was in the tomb is irrelevant...

Maybe not. When asked by the scribes and Pharisees for a sign of his authority, the Messiah said that the only sign would be His time in the "heart of the earth" for three days AND three nights. So, if He didn't spend that specific amount of time, then His authority could very well be questioned.
