God merciful
« on: March 19, 2023, 03:47:17 AM »
In the Bible apparently there's no excuse for not believing in God says Saint Paul. The beauty of God speaks out.
Doesn't in other ways. All the suffering in the world. Now do you understand there is excuse.
If you go to church you get comfort . If you read the Bible you do not . It has the love of God. Doesn't in other ways and shows nothing but rejection and not enough about God leading to mercy and too many dead lines and trappings, with no way out.
That's how I feel. Let God show me I'm wrong because I sure hope I am.

Hello Mercy, and welcome to the forum.

In the Bible apparently there's no excuse for not believing in God says Saint Paul. The beauty of God speaks out.
Paul talks about the world displaying God's "eternal power and divine nature" (Romans 1:20) - not beauty, exactly, but power and glory. It's the same in Psalm 19: "The heavens declare the glory of God,"

You can look at the word from many different angles, and to some extent what you see will correspond to your own preconceived ideas. But the evidence for God being real is there, all the same.
He appointed the human race to rule the earth and "subdue" it (Genesis 1:26-28). We haven't made a very good job of that because we rebelled against God's authority, and He's left us to go our own way. As a result, most of the suffering in our world is our own fault.

The Bible doesn't pull any punches. It tells us not only about the love of God but also about the ugliness of human behaviour. And it reminds us that God is just as well as loving. Repent, and you will discover Him to be a loving Father. Rebel, and you will find Him to be a terrifying Judge. It's up to you.

"Since you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." (Colossians 3:1)

Hi Mercy
And welcome looking forward to you input.

Everything that's happening in the world today has been prophesied so we should not be surprised when we see it happening.
Why dose God allow it the only reason I can think of is Love God want as many as possible to love him and each other and this is a choice we have to make ourselves so God will wait as long as possible so as many as possible can be saved.

But God will put an end to this world

Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth

So its mankind who are destroying the earth with globe warming  so we can be sure the end is not to far of.

Love and Peace
Dave

If we are honest the problem.em of evil and of suffering in the world are hard questions for both Christians and non-Christian.

As a Christians I believe that evil and suffering are a result of Adams rejection of God's command.
We all know that if instructions, rules etc are not followed then problems, to put it mildly, follow.
That is part of my answer, I am interested in what your answer is to the problem of evil and suffering?

I take comfort from knowing that God loves us and that he has already taken steps to deal with evil and suffering in his sending of Jesus who through his death and resurrection has provided the means of being reconciled to God.
