What would you say to..
« on: February 22, 2022, 01:06:43 PM »
Another chalenging question for reader to think about and may be talk to their pastor about.

What would you say to a member of your churches youth group who announces there name is no longer John but Janet or Janet but now John?

I am talking about a boy saying he identifies as a girl or a girl who identifies as a boy.
Their school is supporting them in this, so what do you say?
There are practical matters, the boy wants to use the girls toilets, if you take them away camping etc to sleep in the girls dorm/tent.

then there is the legal issue.

You have read and hopefully responded to the governments proposal to make councelling of transgender illegal.
How you respond to this child will be labelled as a crime unless you go along with it.

How will you respond to this child?

Following the governments public consultation on conversation therapy, the humanist uk ( HUK ) have made there views known as follows:-
HUK are quite clear, consensual Christian counselling and prayer aimed at re-orienting unwanted homosexual desires should be criminalized. But as far as HUK are concerned, the UK government ban does not go far enough. They state:

?we believe this ban should include verbal communications? such as confessions/repentances, non-violent exorcisms, faith declarations, fasting, pilgrimages, and attendance on religious courses? (emphasis added).

HUK are seeking to criminalize repentance!

Is this an over reaction? Such laws are already in force in Canada and new Zealand.
