More on Jn 3:16

Now lets look at Jn 15:18-19

18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

In these Two verses the word world is used several times but it is limited to the meaning of those who persecuted them who stood for the Truth ! The word is never used here as all mankind without exception !

Not sure it was a myth or mistake by God.

It's revolving around the  scripture that says "For God Loved the world so much" as in John 3:16...

Your correct "it doesn't mean God loves evil or those that do it"

But the invitation is given to all "who might believe"...

Then I can complicate things by introducing the Spiritual/spiritual/ and the interactions between the two - with people/ now /today/.

It simply means we all have the opportunity  to believe....

God is not a respecter of persons.... in other words "the Jews thought they were God's special people" God then speaks "through scripture"  to tell them the gentiles are also chosen.. so scripture changes as God continues to change us.

Will we still read scripture in eternity .. no because we will have the Author, .of our faith, the One we chose to believe in. who was always there  waiting..

That is why scripture is told to be a living Word...

Now take Saul a murderer of Christians "loved by God" now God is coming from the other direction God  turns Saul into Paul.

A pharisee ? no "brood of vipers" worse than the gentiles - might as well invite someone with leprosy into your home.

So God did..

Opposite side of the coin, flip a coin today , heads or tails..

Hi, are you paying attention to how the word world is used in scripture ? Im taking the time to show how the word is used in the bible when it doesnt mean all without exception.

Now John 17:9

Lets look at the word world [kosmos] in John 17:9

9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

The world here surely does not mean the same as it does in Jn 3:16, why would Christ deny it to be the object of His Intercession and Prayer ?

The world here are all those among mankind that do not belong to God, yes He is still their Creator, but He is not their Covenant God, they belong to the wicked one, the Devil, and they were never given to Christ in Election as His Sheep. The world in Jn 3:16 is the World that God gave to the Son as in those He prays for in Jn 17:9 " those thou hast given me"

So, those God the Father has given the Son which the Son does Pray for is a World Jn 3:16 and those whom the Father hath not given the Son which the Son does not Pray for as in Jn 17:9 is a world.

Hi
The word world mean exactly that it means everything that is opposed to God and Christ when we enter the body of Christ we leave the world of sin behind us we enter a new world and come under the laws of Love.
GOD IS LOVE.

Love and Peace

Lets look at Rom 1:8

We are looking at the different ways the word world is used , and exposing the negligence of all those who render Jn 3:16, as meaning that God there is being said to Love all men without exception, when the verse does not say that, its a lie !

Rom 1:8

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

This actually is more of what John 3:16 means, that God Loved men and women throughout the whole world.

Now here in Rom 1:8 the word world would be limited to the Roman Empire or that region. People in Egypt at that time could care less about their Faith in Christ Jesus and probably never heard of Him. It is even doubtful that every single individual without exception in the Roman Empire is even included in this statement !

Lets look at also Rom 11:12

12Now if the fall of them[ Ethnic Israel] be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

The word world here means the Gentiles, and it is even restricted in that sense as well, to be only the Elect Gentiles in the world.

Hi, So do you understand whats being done here ? That the word world in Jn 3:16 doesnt mean everyone without exception. Its not teaching in Jn 3:16 that God loved all without exception, because thats a myth.

Hi Brightfame52
Thank you for your post but please read the following

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

So God loved the world the whole world and everyone in it and all sinners will have the opportunity to be saved through repentance and forgiveness of there sins it dose not mean everyone will be saved but everyone will have the opportunity to be saved.

Love and Peace
Dave
