John 3:16

Those whom God So Loved in Jn 3:16, could not have been every individual in the world without exception, because if So, then that would mean that He Loved them with an everlasting Love Jer 31:3, it would mean that in Love He predestinated them unto the Adoption of Children by Jesus Christ to Himself Eph 1:4-5

4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself,
according to the good pleasure of his will,

In Love here can very easily be joined with the first phrase in vs 5, Love here refers to that Love with which God loves His Chosen Ones [ Deut 7:6-7] God's Love is grounded in His Choice of A People as we can see from Deut 7:6-7, and so if God Loved everyone without exception in Jn 3:16, that is like saying God has Chosen everyone in the World without exception, which we know is not True. In this Love, its such a Love that God's Chosen Ones will experimentally become Holy and without blame before Him, and that cannot be True of those Jesus will yet say Matt 25:41

41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Remember, the Chosen were Blessed Eph 1:3-4

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Hi brightfame52
Thank you for you post but I think What you are missing is there are two groups those God has chosen from the foundation of the world the Last one we Know of is St Paul if there have been others after him but  have no written proof.

then we have the second group they are all those who have chose n to Love God this is what God wants our Love it is priceless to him there is no way God can Make us Love him it would not be love it would be programming we would be robots incapable of love God wants us to Love him and each other but it must be genuine Love nothing else will do if God had chosen all of us from the foundation of the world it would be God making us love him and that will not do it is us apart from the chosen elect who must choose to Love God and we are cleansed of our sins through the blood of Christ.
if you are right about the chosen and there is a chosen group if its only them who will be saved then it will be a relatively small group that will be saved but the God I believe in is greater than this.
the chose are those who are chosen to do the work of God here on earth and through them untold millions will be saved

Love and Peace
Dave

Hi Dave, you seem to be overlooking some vital truths I am sharing with you .

Hi Brightfame52
Thank you for your replies to which I do agree with most of what you say that there will be group who will form the body of Christ it is all those who were chosen from the foundation of the world to St Paul after that I don't know.

What I do know is that the rest of humanity must choose God through Christ and the only way we can do that is through love and following the laws of Love which are.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.? The second is this: ?You shall love your neighbor as yourself.? There is no other commandment greater than these.?
Mark 12:30-‬31 ESV

The decision to be saved lies with us by obeying the above the whole of scripture is about Gods love for us and our love for him and our love for him must be of our own free will but if he chose us from the foundation of the world it is not of our own free will.

Love and Peace

Did God Predestinate all without exception ? Eph 1:4-5

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Now some Translate the two words in love at the end of vs 4 and have them instead at the beginning of vs 5 as to read:

5 in love Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

The NIV reads :

4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[a] predestined us for adoption to son ship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will?

Here the period is put at the end of vs four after the word sight !

Now this being the case, and since God's Love here is the same as that in Jn 3:16, then we must suppose that God has predestined all without exception for adoption to Sonship in accordance with His Pleasure and will. So all without exception shall attain to The Image of Christ Rom 8:29

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Now if all without exception are not predestinated unto this Image and attain unto it, God and His Love and His Predestination have failed.

Did God Predestinate all without exception ? Eph 1:4-5

No

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

speaking of those who are chosen the bride of Chist

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

again speaking of those who are chosen

Now some Translate the two words in love at the end of vs 4 and have them instead at the beginning of vs 5 as to read:

don't believe in changing what we have to suit our interpretation

5 in love Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

again this is speaking of who are chosen not those who are to choose

The NIV reads :

4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[a] predestined us for adoption to son ship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will?

again he is speaking of those who are chosen

Here the period is put at the end of vs four after the word sight !

Now this being the case, and since God's Love here is the same as that in Jn 3:16, then we must suppose that God has predestined all without exception for adoption to Sonship in accordance with His Pleasure and will. So all without exception shall attain to The Image of Christ Rom 8:29

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

it dose not say he foreknew everybody he foreknew all those who would become the bride of Christ they are a special group predestinated from the foundation of the world the rest of us who love God and our neighbours become the children and will be saved

Now if all without exception are not predestinated unto this Image and attain unto it, God and His Love and His Predestination have failed.

it is impossible for God to fail everything will go according to his plan of creation

Love and Peace
Dave

Now if God Loved all without exception, then in Love, He predestnated all without exception. If He predestinated all without exception, then He must have foreknew all without exception according to Rom 8:29

29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Hi Brightfame52

That God loved all without exception goes without saying Christ died for the sins of the world not jest part of it.

28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified

As we see here it is those who are called who are predestinated as the first decipels were they were called by Christ as were all those of the OT were called to do the work of God its the difference of an Apostle and a decipel an apostle is one who is sent as were all the prophets of the OT and the apostles they were sent to preach the word of God the decipels  are those who follow what is preached they are the children.
So who shall we decipels follow the chosen in scripture or what men say.?
