The Church, the Body of Christ in the OT is here called the Nation, the people chosen for His Own Inheritance.

Ps 33:12

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

The NT counterpart is the Church Chosen in Christ Eph 1:4 Gods own Inheritance Eph 1:18

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

1 Pet 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

The foundation spoken of in the OT is Christ Isa 28:16

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

This applied to the Church the Body of Christ 1 Cor 3:11

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Rom 10:11

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Eph 2:20

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; Or Foundation

1 Pet 2:6

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone[foundation], elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

Again it sounds good..

Problem is Israel  contained  the pharisees and the sadducees..

Plus the luke warm that Jesus warned about in Revelation 3:15-16...

Full of Middle class and upper class in their time..

I would rather be Lazarus  the beggar in Luke 16:19-31..

Having never gone to a synagogue...

God met him outside as a beggar..

Another way we know from scripture that the Church, Christ's Wife existed in the OT is John the baptist words here Jn 3:29

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

Now who is John referring to as the bridegroom here ? Its surely Jesus Christ. And technically because Christ had not yet died, the OT Covenant Law period was still in force, but yet During this time Christ is spiritually recognized as the bridegroom, having a bride, which I believe is the Church Eph 5

Hi tBrightfame52
Thank you for these interesting posts as for the bride of Christ we are told who she is in revelations

Rev_21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.        to

so the bride is a whole host chosen from the beginning of creation to the end of the NT and our Lord and his Bride will become one on his return lets pray it will be soon.

Theres a connection of the OT Church of Christ and the NT Church of Christ seen in Rev 12

We see that Christ is the seed of that women Rev 12:1-5
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

And in oneness with the Seed of the Women was the remnant of Her Seed the Saints Rev 12:13
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
Rev 12:17
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
So the remnant of Her Seed is the Saints[The Church/Body of Christ] and Christ the Man Child born of Her Rev 12:5 is Her Seed!

Hi Brightfame52
Thanks for you reply

     13  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

 14  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

 15  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

 16  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby

I think from the above its obvious the Israel and the gentiles will be joined in one body through Christ and his church the church being the elect all those chosen from the beginning of time.
And Christ and his church will rule over the world for a thousand years with a rod of iron the question is who will he rule over and for what purpose.

Love and Peace
Dave
