Hi
Something I've been wondering about for some time why is it every time I put the news on there is very little or no good news its either all about death and destruction or sport satan must be laughing his head of and clapping his hands.
There must be no end of people and organisations in the world doing lots of wonderful things but the never get a mention why.
The problem comes when all our lovely youngsters se all the evil on the news they believe that this is how they are to live they must be the biggest the strongest the fastest you should trample down everyone to get to the top.
Same as when they put the sport super star's on a pedestal so like I say when we see all this on the media we are brain washing people into believing that this is how we should live our lives.

Love and peace
Dave

Hi @davetaff

I could say a lot more. Just right now it's busy at work, with others on there summer holidays. As they usually are in July and August.
I will be in September.

I was thinking things are not perfect here but we could count our blessings , in comparison to various places in the world.
With what they are going through.

Around me many are complaining with the Covid restrictions and the impact it made on their marriages and relationships. Instead of honouring the blessing they have in family life etc.

From talking to the people I work with it seems that they  get bored too easily  because of the Covid restrictions, with the situation but acknowledge that the people they are with are far from boring. It's just they could be so  grateful for what they have.

Generally speaking things are not perfect for people. If they however received the glad tidings of the gospel and the things of God they would feel the joy of the Lord.

People in general could experience the love and power of God working through them, and sustaining their situations, families, marriages and work etc.

Hi Primrose
Thank you for your post good points made of course everything thats happening in the world today have been prophesied in the bible so we should not be surprised.
But like you say we should be grateful for what we have there are some very horrific things happening in the world to day the reason there is very little love in high places except the love of money.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

I have never understood why we can put men on the moon send rockets to Mars but we can't get a cup of clean water to a child in the third world the human race should be ashamed of its self

If you want Good news talk to your minister and other people in your church.
There are always reports of opertunities to share the gospel, of new people coming to church or to outreach programes or feedback from missionary organisations.

Hi John
Thank you for your reply I agree with every word but the good news I was asking about is on the media why is nearly all of it negative should not all this bad news at least be balanced with good news I think all this bad news is detrimental to all our lovely youngsters out there

Young people do not watch the news. They regard tv as for ' Old people ' not young people like themselves, they watch online programes with bite-sized chunks of amusement.

Hi John
you could well be right but not only the news but the whole of the media is so terrible violence sex excessive drinking gambling selfishness everything which goes against everything God stands for maybe it has to be that way but its very depressing knowing there is not much we can do to change it.

Love and Peace
