The Old Prophet and the Man of God


1 Kings 13 


    For I was commanded by the word of the LORD: `You must not eat bread or drink water or return by the way you came.'"

    So he took another road and did not return by the way he had come to Bethel.
11
    Now there was a certain old prophet living in Bethel, whose sons came and told him all that the man of God had done there that day. They also told their father what he had said to the king.
12
    Their father asked them, "Which way did he go?" And his sons showed him which road the man of God from Judah had taken.
13
    So he said to his sons, "Saddle the donkey for me." And when they had saddled the donkey for him, he mounted it
14
    and rode after the man of God. He found him sitting under an oak tree and asked, "Are you the man of God who came from Judah?" "I am," he replied.



Learning to listen - when both are listeners


18Then the prophet replied, ?I too am a prophet like you, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, ?Bring him back with you to your house, so that he may eat bread and drink water.? ?

The old prophet was lying to him, 19but the man of God went back with him, ate bread in his house, and drank water.

20 While they were sitting at the table, the word of the LORD came to the prophet who had brought him back, 21and the prophet cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah, ?This is what the LORD says: ?Because you have defied the word of the LORD and have not kept the commandment that the LORD your God gave you, 22but you went back and ate bread and drank water in the place where He told you not to do so, your body shall never reach the tomb of your fathers.? ?

23And after the man of God had finished eating and drinking, the old prophet who had brought him back saddled the donkey for him. 24As he went on his way, a lion met him on the road and killed him, and his body was left lying in the road, with the donkey and the lion standing beside it.

25And there were men passing by who saw the body lying in the road with the lion standing beside it, and they went and reported this in the city where the old prophet lived.

26When the prophet who had brought him back from his journey heard this, he said, ?It is the man of God who disobeyed the command of the LORD. Therefore the LORD has delivered him to the lion, and it has mauled him and killed him, according to the word that the LORD had spoken to him.?

A Life lesson..

You know, I'm not interested in knowledge or good sounding words.

Once a Ministers child asked me "how do you focus when going through a difficult time ?"

I told him "Just sing from the heart and break down the walls".

ATM we may have walls of covid around us and we may well have other prison walls [that surround us]

Take a life example and life lesson from Acts 16:25-26


25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26 Suddenly a strong earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. At once all the doors flew open and everyone?s chains
came loose.

Just sing from your heart to reach heaven and God and break those walls that surround you- whatever those walls are.. do the
opposite  of normal response/flesh ... and see the walls crumble around you.

Just pick a song - it can be a song from your own heart and see the walls crumble..

BREAK DOWN THE WALLS -VIDEO

Break through Covid - break  through long Covid, break through bondage and past - meet God today .

But keep doing it until God releases...Let the song permeate your heart and then allow it to come out of you.

You are now in communion with God [much better than physical exercise, you are being released to God...] which is the way you were made to be...

It is really as simple as that - so start and begin  today - just find a song or makeup your own and release it to God.



Another life lesson.


I am currently practising this myself [once again] -  not looking at my current situation - but breaking through the walls - that keep me apart from my Father..


I am starting all over again. and over again and over again.


Start exercising this concept today and break down the walls around you - find release .


Lets begin our regular  exercise..


Now you are doing it NOW TODAY, you are giving up your past - you are letting go and you are moving on..with God as God moves on..
