Hi
Moving on

And he said to him, ?Truly, truly, I say to you,  you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.?
John 1:51 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.1.51.ESV

What a wonderful privilege this would be for them and I believe for us to in the end times when Christ returns to claim his Bride all those who are his we will witness this wonderful sight the Lord descending to take up his rightful place King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Can't wait for that day to dawn it will be a fantastic sight.

Love and peace

Don't wish to be a quibbler, but I think the gospels refer to Christ "appearing" in the end times, not "descending." The only one's "descending" are angels. Christ is always King of Kings and Lord of Lords since his resurrection.

Hi eik
Thank you for your reply yes the verse I quoted above was about angels descending on the son of man no question but then my thoughts whent to the end times and this verse.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first

And of course this we will see and it will be fantastic will it not for we know our Lord is sat at the right hand of God the Father waiting for his enemies to be made a foot stool then he will return in power and glory.

Love and Peace

Hi eik
Thank you isn't it great when Christians agree :D

Moving on

1On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, ?They have no wine.? 4And Jesus said to her, ?Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.? 5His mother said to the servants, ?Do whatever he tells you.?
6Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7Jesus said to the servants, ?Fill the jars with water.? And they filled them up to the brim. 8And he said to them, ?Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.? So they took it. 9When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10and said to him, ?Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.? 11This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

Here we have Christ turning the water into wine    the first thing to consider is our Lord obedience to his Mother reminds us of honour your father and mother this is our Lord keeping the commandments.
then we have the actual miracle of turning the water into wine I have often wondered if this is symbolic of turning the water of Gods word into his blood which he shed on the cross for us the blood symbolising the Holy Spirit which gives life to the body of Christ.
not to sure about the six jars unless they symbolise the six days of creation in which man in the image of God would be created.

Love and Peace

My hypothesis: wine represents Christ's blood Luke 22:20, and the New Covenant, water the baptism of Moses 1 Cor 10:2 and the Old Covenant.

Hi
Thank you eik for your post and the scriptures good points made.

Moving on

After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.   The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, ?Take these things away; do not make my Father?s house a house of trade.?  His disciples remembered that it was written, ?Zeal for your house will consume me.?
John 2:12-‬17 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.2.12-17.ESV

Here we see how seriously our Lord sees the temple of God it was a place of prayer  and service to God but they had made it a den of thieves this was also foretold in the OT.

For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
Psalm 69:9 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/psa.69.9.ESV

How much more shall his zeal be vented on those who misuses the temple which is his body don't bare thinking about let us make sure that we who believ give it the love and respect it is due.

Love and Pease

Hi
Moving on

So the Jews said to him, ?What sign do you show us for doing these things?? Jesus answered them, ?Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.?  The Jews then said, ?It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?? But he was speaking about the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.
John 2:18-‬22 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.2.18-22.ESV

Here our Lord tells the Jews and us as well of the temple he would raise up in three days this temple would be his body which was raised up after his resurrection.
The body of course is the body of believers all those who have accepted Christ as their Saviour all those from all denominations who have been accepted into the body of Christ this is the Church there is only one church and that is the body of Christ.
I think there is a spiritual side to this at the present time Christ and the Church his body are separated but they will be united at his coming which will be three days after his ascension that is days 1000 years long.

Love and Peace
