Hi
Moving on

The Jews said to him, ?Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ?If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.? Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be??
John 8:52-‬53 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.52-53.ESV

An interesting passage what happens when we die as we are told in several places in the NT we go to sleep which means of course we are not dead but asleep in Christ who will wake us up at his return.
So one can be asleep for thousands of years but when Christ wakes us up it will be today we will have no consciousness of the time we are asleep so it will seem as if we enter the presence of Christ strait away.
So if we are in the first resurrection we will not be part of the second death

Hi
Moving on

Jesus answered, ?If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ?He is our God.? But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word. Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.?
John 8:54-‬56 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.54-56.ESV
our Lord

So we should follow Christ and not glorify our self's  but humble ourselves as our Lord did here Christ accuses the Jews of not knowing God yet they had all the words of God but had not understood them properly.
Our Lord knew the Father the Father had given him all the words of scripture which our Lord has given to us and himself follow all of Gods words.
Abraham rejoiced to see the day of the Lord this will be at the second coming of Christ when he will awaken all those who sleep in him Abraham believed he would see that day and so should we.

Hi
Moving on

So the Jews said to him, ?You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?? Jesus said to them, ?Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.(? So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
John 8:57-‬59 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.8.57-59.ESV

Here our Lord tells the Jews plainly that he was before Abraham in fact he is the first of all creation it was through him and for him all things are being created.
The Jews had all the words of God that explained these thing but still they did not believe that he was the Christ that was to come so he makes it plain to them when he says

Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.

Hi
Moving on

As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, ?Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?? Jesus answered, ?It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.?
John 9:1-‬5 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.9.1-5.ESV

It was not because the man or his parents sinned that he was born blind it was part of Gods plan so the works of God could be displayed in him.
Here our Lord reminds us that he is the light of the world and he must do the works of God while he was here on earth because when he was taken up to heaven there would be darkness and no one could work miracles
Except his apostles.

Hi
Moving on

Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man?s eyes with the mud and said to him, ?Go, wash in the pool of Siloam? (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.
John 9:6-‬7 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.9.6-7.ESV

Here our Lord heals the man born blind something that is impossible for man but not for God and the man came back seeing he must have been over the moon it must have been wonderful to look at God glorious creation.
But the blindness we want curing is our spiritual blindness so that we can better understand the word of God.

Hi
Moving on

The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar were saying, ?Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?? Some said, ?It is he.? Others said, ?No, but he is like him.? He kept saying, ?I am the man.? So they said to him, ?Then how were your eyes opened?? He answered, ?The man called Jesus made mud and anointed my eyes and said to me, ?Go to Siloam and wash.? So I went and washed and received my sight.?
John 9:8-‬11 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.9.8-11.ESV

Here we see there were those who refused to believe some even said he was not the man born blind but the man himself said he was the man.
But we have the word of God given to us by St John that Christ did cure the man born blind so we can be absolutly sure that Christ did cure the man.
And this applies to all of Gods word we must believe because it is not the word of man but the word of God and can be relied on 100%.

Hi
Moving on

They brought to the Pharisees the man who had formerly been blind. Now it was a Sabbath day when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes. So the Pharisees again asked him how he had received his sight. And he said to them, ?He put mud on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.? Some of the Pharisees said, ?This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.? But others said, ?How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?? And there was a division among them. So they said again to the blind man, ?What do you say about him, since he has opened your eyes?? He said, ?He is a prophet.?
John 9:13-‬17 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.9.13-17.ESV

We see here that the Pharisees just would not believe that Christ had cured a man born blind even though he stood here before them seeing what more proof would anyone need.
Interesting that Christ did this on the Sabbath which would seam to indicate that doing good works on the Sabbath was acceptable.
They even called our Lord a sinner which of course he was not he was sinless the lamb of God without sin.
Even the man said he was a prophet it seams it was very difficult for those living in those times to believe that Jesus was their Messiah who was to come.

Hi
Moving on

The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight and asked them, ?Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?? His parents answered, ?We know that this is our son and that he was born blind. But how he now sees we do not know, nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he is of age. He will speak for himself.? (His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Jesus to be Christ, he was to be put out of the synagogue.)
John 9:18-‬22 ESV
https://bible.com/bible/59/jhn.9.18-22.ESV

Here we see the Jews just will not believe that Jesus had cured the man born blind so they summand his parents who confirmed he was their son and he was born blind but they would not confirm that it was Jesus who had cured him they were to afraid of being thrown out of th synagogue so what is more important telling the truth or being excommunicated.
